This collaborative effort between FLLEC and the Bonita Springs Lions Club aims to create a magical experience for children and families. FLLEC is dedicated to providing free eye care to underserved individuals in Florida, while the Bonita Springs Lions Club is known for its commitment to community service.

Last week FLLEC Executive Director, Robin Goldstone Garcia, husband, Elliot Garcia, Bonita Springs Lions Club President, Colin Raynor, and Bonita Springs Lions Club Thrift Store Manager, Carlo, took a trip to the United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades warehouse to pick up a generous in-kind donation to the Florida Lions Eye Clinic. The conference room the Bonita Springs Lions Club shares with FLLEC, and the new office gifted by the Lions look amazing with the “new” furniture. The furniture is exactly what was needed for a cleaner, more professional look. See for yourself how perfectly the items look in the spaces, and how hard the United Way team worked that day!

FLLEC extends a big thank you for the great service received from the warehouse staff. Not only did they give their undivided attention in helping locate the items needed, they showed as much excitement as everyone in knowing that their hard work was going to pay off. Jim and Nice both went out of their way to give a warm welcome and the team was available to help put the items in the truck as well.

Robin shared, “What can I say other than “WOW….and THANK YOU” to show our appreciation! It really is amazing all of the ways that the United Way of Lee improves the community, not only through their monetary donations, but also through their efforts to improve each non-profit partnership, encourage collaborations and directly support the residence of the community. You have an amazing team! Thank you again!”

Today our Director of Development & Marketing, Miranda Escobar, had the pleasure of presenting the Florida Lions Eye Clinic to the Sun City Center Lions Club, in Sun City Center, FL, 2 hours north of the clinic. FLLEC's mission spans the entire state of Florida, and spreading the word to others who share our amazing vision to prevent blindness in Florida is so important! It was a welcoming and lovely visit with the Lions, and Miranda was even presented with a certificate of appreciation for being their guest speaker! The pleasure was all ours! We 💙 collaborations.
