Meet Ryan

Ryan is the founder of Lake Tapps Counseling and has been working as a therapist since 2009. He received his MA in Counseling from George Fox University and a became licensed Washington State Supervisor in 2015. He has worked in numerous settings that include community mental health, education, and in private practice. Ryan enjoys working with individual teens and adults using EMDR to decrease symptoms of anxiety and PTSD.

Meet Katelynn

Katelynn is a graduate of Antioch University and has a passion in helping teens and adults decrease anxiety and stress, work through life transitions and live full and meaningful lives. Katelynn uses evidenced based approaches such as CBT and DBT to help people develop coping skills, examine their mindset/thinking patters and change their behavior. Katelynn also has extensive experience working with adults and teens on the Autism Spectrum in teaching coping and social skills.

Meet Krystal

Krystal has been working with children, adults, and families in therapy through community mental health and is now doing the same in private practice. She enjoys working with children using play therapy and also uses CBT and DBT methods to help process change and trauma. Krystal received her MS in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and currently has her Mental Health Counselor Associate License in the state of Washington.

Meet Katie

Katie earned her masters in Mental Health Counseling from Baruch University - City University of New York in 2018. Through her graduate studies, Katie worked in community mental health and outpatient chemical dependency in Brooklyn, NY. Upon relocating to the Puget Sound Katie worked in an adolescent residential mental health facility. These experiences and Katie’s past work as a special education teacher in New York, NY has provided her with ample experience in working with individuals diverse in diagnoses, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, religion, and abilities. Her passion is working with adolescents and parents. Katie specializes in the treating individuals with ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, life transitions, and identity issues relating to gender, sexuality, adoption, and parenting.
