I do not really like posting about this on any account, but you have all become our family over the past 3.5 years and already know about Kaison. Today is 3 years since Kaison passed at almost 4 days young. It is a difficult day but a day I will never forget. And I don’t want to depress anyone because everyone is doing well, but I want to and will always remember Kaison Daniel Smith: our grandson. He is watching over us and will always be our baby boy. What a special day today! One of my former students, who is now a D3 at WVU came into town to hang with his buddy (also a former student of mine and a current D3 at Temple) and made it a point to meet up so we could catch up on school! I am so proud of him and so incredibly lucky to have students like him. Funny thing is he was at a baseball field 3 mins from our house! It is times like these that I truly cherish what I do. He didn’t forget me 🥹
