Meet Allison, an optimist, swimmer and ice cream enthusiast. She is also one of about 7 million people in the US who live with . In this video, Allison shares her approach to pouring a drink while living with ET.
“I get tremors in my arms and legs, and sometimes my voice. My tremors are usually internal, so I feel them constantly. I’ve learned to manage pretty much every simple daily activity. I do things a bit differently, like how I hold my pencil or my toothbrush, how I brush my hair or put on makeup, how I pour a drink. There are certain things I wish I could do – like drive. But it doesn’t define me. I don’t let it define me.”
Thank you, Allison, for sharing your story and helping to show ET is so much .

Kiahna is a veterinary office manager and artist. She also lives with .
At 23, Kiahna began struggling with getting food into her mouth using utensils. Her shaking impacted everything she enjoyed, including her ability to draw and to administer injections, as she studied to be a veterinary assistant.

“I’m thankful for the progress I’ve made so far, but it’s time to start looking into alternatives,” she says.
Thank you, Kiahna, for sharing your story. It’s the lived experiences of people with ET that help drive our work every day.
