Thank you to our host of the Boston Outdoor Expo - Dave Fatula!
Dave Fatula is owner of .
A lifelong outdoorsman and New Englander, Dave founded his company as the ultimate manifestation of a job he truly loves: one where he can be out in the wilderness, make connections with others, and lead them through potentially perspective-shifting experiences. After looking back at his lifetime spent hiking, trail running, camping, and biking in the mountains, he realized that his passion for being outdoors had in fact, over time, become an expertise he wanted to share with others. Dave strives to provide spaces where growth, connection, and exploration are fun, safe, and above all rewarding.
We'd like to send a big shout out and thank you to who helped us before and during the Boston Outdoor Event, as well as our sister shows in Boston.
Mary is a most unlikely runner, who stood next to Dave McGillivrey as he gave the oral command at the mobility impaired runners start of the 2009 Boston Marathon. She was diagnosed with Post-Polio Syndrome, a progressive neuromuscular disease at the of age of 53 in December 2006, and told to prepare to spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair. Refusing to take the diagnosis sitting down, Mary discovered the healing power of poetry and the mind/body connection. She went on to have many running adventures. Once unable to exercise, she shares a powerful message of healing, hope and possibilities touting the benefits of being active outdoors whatever the weather. Mary is the author of 6 books, been featured on Channel 7 news, many podcasts and radio shows, on Mike Reilly’s Stories From the Finish Line, and shared the stage with Bill Rodgers at the Hyannis Marathon. She was a panelist on “Late Life Running – Whole Life Running” at the 2020 Virtual Boston Marathon Expo.
Mary loves inspiring others with what’s possible and we are honoured and proud to have had her as an ambassador for our debut Outdoor Event!
