Triple European champion Femke Bol will headline the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix field in the women’s 500m.

Bol is coming off a sensational 2022 season which saw her win European Championships titles for the Netherlands in the 400m hurdles, 400m flat and in the 4x400m relay. She also won the silver and bronze medals over 400m hurdles at the 2022 World Athletics Championships and 2020 Olympic Games, respectively, won 400m and 4x400m silver at the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships and is the third-fastest woman in history in the intermediate hurdles.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and Shericka Jackson, the reigning world champions in the 400m hurdles and 200m, respectively, will race in the 60m dash at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix!

Joining McLaughlin-Levrone and Jackson in the women’s 60m will be Mikiah Brisco, the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships silver medalist at 60m, and Aleia Hobbs, the 2022 USATF Championships runner-up and sixth place finisher over 100m at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene.

Two Olympic champions in the pole vault are coming to Boston!

Katie Moon (née Katie Nageotte Pole Vault) and Katerina Stefanidi, the two most recent Olympic Champions in the women’s pole vault, will compete at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix.

Moon has come out on top in thrilling competitions at the 2020 Olympic Games and the 2022 World Athletics Championships, in both of which she took her only lead with her final clearances of the competitions. Moon also took silver at last year’s World Athletics Indoor Championships and is a four-time US national champion.

Challenging Moon in Boston, Stefanidi is one of the most decorated athletes in the history of the women’s pole vault. In addition to the Olympic title she won in Rio de Janeiro, she is also the 2017 World Champion, a two-time European Champion and a three-time Wanda Diamond League Champion.

You can take the Grand Prix out of Boston, but you can’t take a Grand Prix victory away from Donavan Brazier. That’s how the saying goes, or at least it should.

While the 2021 New Balance Indoor Grand Prix may have looked different from its previous 25 editions, it was familiar faces who took center stage at this year’s event at Ocean Breeze Park and Athletic Complex with Donavan Brazier leading the way.
