There is a lot that goes into picking a wedding venue. There are the basics like availability, capacity, costs, and venue rules etc. but on the fun side, your venue will play a big roll in the look and feel of your wedding. Whether you want nautical, modern, or rustic, your venue will set the stage for your guests and venue scouting can be so exciting!

For this shoot we wanted laid back, bohemian, New England vibes. And what better place to bring our vision to life then an apple orchard drenched in golden light? The outdoor ceremony took place down the rows of apple trees, creating a natural aisle and allowing the guests to be surrounded by nature. The reception was held in an updated cider barn that serves hot cider doughnuts and cider cocktails, which kept things feeling relaxed and fun.

I am going to let you in on a little secret, one of the most common things I hear as a photographer is "we are not photogenic" and I can tell you right now, that is not true. It is totally normal to feel awkward and uncomfortable in front of a camera because it is not something you do every day, but I promise you this, there is NOTHING more beautiful than being yourself, having fun, and being in love. I always strive to create an environment that feels like a fun, safe place for all of my couples because allowing them to be themselves and be at ease always creates magic 💫

The reflective nature of the tent's ceiling illuminates the space with a diffused and gentle light, which is very flattering to all subjects. It also mitigates color cast so you do not have to worry about unflattering hues being reflected back on your skin. So if you are thinking about a white tent for your wedding, do it!

One thing I see time and time again is the groom and groomsmen struggling to pin their boutonnieres... But did you know there are different ways to attach boutonnieres? From magnets to safety pins and the classic pins, some methods are more straightforward than others. If pinning a boutonniere seems daunting, discuss your options with your florist. They can guide you through the different techniques and even offer to pin them for you.

It's worth noting that while magnets may be a convenient option, they may not work well if your suit is made of thick material. So, just consider the best option that suits your attire and ensure that the boutonniere is secure for the duration of the event.

One thing I have always loved about my relationship with Jason is that we get great joy from the little things we do together.
