Hey everyone,
Merry Christmas!
Holidays can be a source of great joy, but unfortunately they are also a source of anxiety-- particularly food and social anxiety.
Please try to be healthy and happy during these times. It's a rocky road, but recovery is worth
Some suggestions to make things easier on yourself:
- play with clay/play-doh/silly putty. It keeps your hnds busy and can reduce nervous energy.
- have an "escape route", aka a place where you can quickly retreat to be alone for a few minutes. Take some deep breaths to calm down, remind yourself of your wonderful worth, and move back into the fray.
- ask someone you trust to be your sidekick. When something you're not comfortable with comes up, they can help chage the subject or get you through the situation.
Happy holidays, loves!
