Sail Boston 2026 is an official port of Sail250®, a gathering of tall ships for America's 250th! Boston’s history stretches beyond the land to the sea.

Boston has a wealth of maritime history—both past and present. Bostonians welcome crews and cadets from all over the world to their harbor on a continual basis as part of the Visiting Ship Program and are gearing up to greet the return of the Tall Ship fleet for Sail Boston 2026! Today it was great to welcome the United States Coast Guard Barque EAGLE to Boston! Looking good!

ALL ABOARD ⛵️⚓️ Tomorrow at 11:30 a.m., the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle will rendezvous with USS Constitution near Castle Island. The historic Eagle will fire a 17-gun salute as it passes the U.S Coast Guard Base in Boston and will then moor at the Base for the weekend to offer tours to excited visitors 🎉. ¡Viva España! 🇪🇸🏆 Spain might have won Euros this year but their beautiful ship Juan Sebastián de Elcano won our hearts when it docked in Boston Harbor in June 2024. We hope to see the Spanish flag waving in the wind again at Sail Boston 2026! ⛵️

Put your hands together because Picton Castle returned to its home port in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia on Saturday, July 13 after completing her eighth world voyage.👏 🌏 Picton Castle's 14-month journey began in May 2023 and she sailed 30,000 nautical miles to places like Fiji, Bali, Cape Town, and much more! ⛵

🇫🇷 Yesterday was Bastille Day! In 2015, Hermoine, a tremendous sailing boat, traveled into Boston's harbor proudly flying its French flag as part of our Visiting Ships program. We look forward to seeing even more flags waving at Sail Boston 2026! 🌊

See you in 2026! We are thrilled to announce that the Tall Ships will return to Boston from July 11-16, as Sail Boston highlights Boston's celebration of the 250th birthday of the United States. Sail Boston is an official port of Sail250®, a multi-state consortium of five host ports including New Orleans, Norfolk, Baltimore, and New York.

Below the rotunda of the Boston Harbor Hotel, Mayor Michelle Wu, the Sail Boston Board of Directors, and representatives from the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism and MeetBoston today announced details and plans for Sail Boston 2026 as part of the Sail250 Tall Ships tour.
