Join a live-streamed event combining powerful music, engagement, and action.

The event on June 20th will feature Climate by composer Erik Ian Walker. Climate explores the physical science underlying climate change, taking us on a musical and a visual journey from the deep past to the year 2250 before returning us to the present in time to consider the future that is still ours to choose. The program will also include an introduction and audience Q&A with climate scientist Dr. Andy Jones.

Greetings to All our Wonderful Festival Fools and Spontaneous Folks,
As you can imagine we are all aflutter getting ready for a huge affair!
The 46th Annual Wake Up the Earth Festival and Parades is just days away...
We NEED all of our VOLUNTEERS to step right IN and Join the Circus!
Are you able and willing to take on a Role? BIG or small.. An Hour here and a puppet holder there, some wrangling of wild sliding children, some carting of trash to the bandits, help checking in the 160 vendors, a few dedicated earth activists to take a shift with the Climate Resilience Project ... Would you be willing and able to help with a shift?

We need trash bandits in 30 minute shifts from 1-6pm especially at 1pm, 1:30pm, 2:30, 3 and 3:30pm
We need cardboard slide volunteers in 90 minute shifts at 12, 1, 2, 3, and 4
We need Vendor Checkin Support from 8 - 11am
We need Climate Resilience project volunteers - at 2- 4 and 3:30-5:30
(ideally these folks would be willing to come in Friday evening for a quick training with Jovielle)
And of course we always need people Friday (May 3) and Saturday (May 4) to help with a bit of everything!

Wake up the Earth 2024 - Festival & Parades — Spontaneous Celebrations The 46th Annual Wake Up the Earth Festival is Saturday May 4th, 2024 from 12-6 there will be a Centre Street Parade at 11am from Curtis Hall down Centre to Lamartine street (gather at 10:30am) and An Egleston Square Parade launching at 11:30 from the corner of Atherton Street and Washington Streets

Tickets on sale! We’re going to be painting pride flags for the parade downstairs and working on any other festival art. Roti and maybe I’ll make a C batch of my famous piña coladas again!

Below is an invite to help us make wake up the earth the greenest festival in Boston! By sorting ALL of our trash, requiring compostable products be used, and powering our stages with solar, we are there! We need helpers. Below is a picture of our dumpster from last year! Barely a dent after the largest festival we’ve ever held! Bigger kids welcome to volunteer, must be taller than a folding table!
