Happy Fourth of July from LuminArtz!

LuminArtz creates performance spaces that blur the line between art and technology. From swimming whales and dancing poetry to old steam engines, we have lit up historic buildings, everyday facades and iconic sculptures to capture and project the unique stories of the past, present and future.

A four-week illumination and sound installation to provide a family-friendly and physically-distant celebration at the famed Hatch Memorial Shell. “Hatched” cut through the darkness of the winter months, offering a public space for joy and optimism in the New Year. The work was an original 15-minute visual and sound performance led by Boston-based creative Maria Finkelmeier of MF Dynamics and was shaped specifically for the 80-year-old amphitheater itself.

Over the years, we have supported non-profits with artist-interpreted, custom illuminations that light up special events suach as Caring Counts - Centuries in the Making. This installation was held at the Wenham Museum and featured the work of local artist, Leslie Lyman.

A big part of LuminArtz's mission is to sponsor artists. Social Medium was an interactive installation that invited viewers and participants to consider the power of individual action to affect visible, positive change in the environment surrounding themselves and others. It provided space for participants to step away from their regular perception of presence and action into one where even simple, organic hand movements can bring beauty, color, and interest to a space and to the collective experience of a group of individuals.
