I wanted to take a moment and post a very special happy birthday to Bill Pierce, one of the very first legends to give me a chance as a repair tech over 10 years ago when Boston Sax Shop was barely in it’s infancy. It is a privilege call Bill both a mentor and a brand ambassador in addition to being the grandpa I always wanted 💕

This has been a long road, almost seven years , dozens of iterations and a lot of trial and error have lead to this: The Ambassador II.

Now before we jump in; The photos in this listing are of a prototype and the final product will have some slight differences including thick leather double handles and a deeper exterior pocket for storage to name a few, but you get the gist.

• Hard wearing, heavy duty ABS shells. I can confidently stand on this with a horn inside (really fun videos coming soon)
• 4 Southco latches (these are the same as on vintage Walt Johnson cases)
• Aluminum valance (that shiny middle part) for maximum durability with without being heavy
• Full back steel piano hinge closure on spine
• Double handle to prevent a ‘whoopsie’ if you forget to latch.
• Plush, high density memory foam interior with velvet top layer (no styrofoam here)
• Big ol storage pocket on the outside for all your goodies, neck/mouthpiece pouch included for bell storage.
• Steel feet and steel strap D-Rings
• included backpack straps with steel hooks and braided cable failsafes

👩‍🎨 At what point does a saxophone case become a piece of art? BSS has teemed up with to create in my opinion (and I don’t say this lightly) the most luxurious saxophone case ever made. There was literally no expense spared and no compromise made; this is as good as it can possible get and then some. I’ve seen carbon fiber cases made by everyone out there and nobody comes close to what SJQ is doing in terms of both quality and details. I mean, just look at how the carbon fiber striping (inspired by suiting pin stripes) is perfectly lined up on both halves; c’mon that’s insanely impressive.

Featuring REAL vacuum infused carbon fiber shells, hand stitched premium leather details and Southco latches (the best, period)

Each case takes over 10 days to produce by a single craftsman. Much much more on this project soon, but I couldn’t help and share a sneak peek 😉 *

Also, yes this case is going to be (very) expensive, like I said, no expense was spared! In tandem we will also be releasing the Boston Sax Shop Ambassador II ABS cases very soon which will fall much more in line with standard professional case pricing but with much higher quality components and the player designed ethos with regards to the details and functionality you’d expect from BSS.
