A few weeks ago we hosted a free media training session for local nonprofit organizations at the NonProfit Center in Boston. It was great to see old friends and make new connections. Thanks to all who joined us.

The Boston Celtics are champions– and so is their media team.
The Boston Globe reporter Diti Kohli spoke with our Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager Hayley McManus about what they do well on social media and the value-add to all those eye-catching graphics and humorous videos of the players.

Congrats to Hayley and Allison on their recent wins from the PR Club’s Bell Ringer Awards for their work with The Nature Conservancy in Massachusetts and Project Bread, respectively.

Hayley, Teak’s Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager took home the Silver Bell for Social Media Platform Excellence in LinkedIn, and Teak’s Vice President, Allison, received the Gold Bell for a Series of Placements.

Plagued by years of scandal, Boy Scouts of America recently announced the 114-year-old institution is changing its name to Scouting America. The organizational rebrand will take effect at the top of next year and reflect the nonprofit’s ongoing shift to be more inclusive, offering new programs for girls and LGBTQ youth.

Last week, Sarah was onsite at Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua’s annual Youth of the Year & Hall of Fame Celebration where Xiadani De Le Lima was honored as the Club’s 2024 Youth of the Year and announced as the New Hampshire State Youth of the Year 🎉. Four community leaders were also inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Special to this year’s event, the Club announced the launch of its Power of YOUth capital campaign to raise $10 million to scale the impact of Club programming and unveiled its new STEAM Lab and Catie’s Closet, officially opening later this month.

Last month, Jackie and Hannah attended PRWeek's Conference in D.C. to learn more about the proactive and reactive methods of communicating around crises.
