This is one of those posts I'm not a fan of having to make, but unfortunately I have to keep up with inflation and my pricing on a yearly basis now if I want to be able to continue this business.
Effective from today and for the next 12 months, pricing will be as follows:
- Day Rate (for touring, studio, etc.): $500
- Full Mix + Master (either via project file or full track stems): $400
- Stem Master (via group stems; Drums, Bass, Synth, FX, Vox, etc.): $200
- Stereo Master (via single bounced .wav of your mix): $100
- Workshop/Learning either remotely or in-studio: $65/hr
- Recording/Tracking/Engineering (if not utilizing Day Rate): $75/hr
I've structured this pricing in a way which gives you options on how deep you want me going into your project and enables you to perhaps even get my work for less than you have been, i.e. by choosing a stem master versus a full mix/master. This, of course, takes more work from you to dial your mix before sending, but enables paying less if you choose.
For anyone who has been grandfathered on pricing, I hope you've enjoyed the stellar work at discounted rates, but I can no longer continue to maintain this and have to bring everyone to the same page. If you have prior been on an hourly rate for mix/masters or stem masters via attended sessions, it will now be the flat price regardless of time.
I'm still willing to hear your situation out if you're in a tight spot; I also sometimes allow clients to carry balances and would prefer to see if we can work something out over being turned away on cost. I am also still willing to work out package deals for chunks of songs or albums.
I know at these prices, I am still below the majority of my peers whose work is on the same level as mine. If you have any questions, concerns or feedback, please message me. I do not take these moments lightly and greatly appreciate your continued trust, business and support.
I recently reposted an artist's story about how after being playlisted on Spotify, the plays were flagged as fake and the entire album was removed. Sadly, numerous other artists commented with similar stories. I was genuinely shocked to see how often this was happening, so I decided to do something about it.
This will have no real impact unless we spread the word far and wide; I encourage you to show support by signing and posting or reposting the link on your socials. Even if you're not an artist, it's easy to recognize how unfair this is and we all enjoy music, so please take 1 minute of your day to help support the artists.

Spent the last week holed up in the house with some guests working on a new album for a not so new project… 🧐😯🤭
NEW 🔥🔥🔥
Proud and honored to have contributed as the tracking/editing engineer except for vocals. I’m feeling a fever coming in 2024… 👀🫱🏼🫲🏽💙
Honored to have covered the full spectrum as recording, mixing and mastering engineer on this demo of the new Glassjaw/Justin Beck "ani v ani" signature guitar and bass models from Schecter Guitars! 🦾💙

Forthcoming celebration. 🫱🏼🫲🏽
Hey everyone!
The studio will be closed to any new/incoming jobs for the next 2 weeks until the end of October. If you have something time-sensitive this conflicts with, please reach out to me. Anyone who has already sent me files to handle this week, you're still all set.
Thank you! 💙
Took on a sonic adventure! 😈 Designed the tones, fully midi automated and integrated the into the tour on a day off. The QC replaced a giant 10+ pedal setup and changes all patches and fx automatically. 🦾
Riot Fest 2023, Chicago. Incredibly thankful for what I get to do for a living and the people I get to do it with. 💙
PSA: the only one benefitting from foam acoustic treatment is the company that duped you into buying it from them. 🧐
Working on the tour file and it occurred to me I haven’t even posted yet… 😂
Gonna be on the road for 5 weeks starting at the end of the month. Come through! 🫱🏼🫲🏽
AC system is in, MM45’s updated with brand new Hypex amps, studio reassembled, back to work! 🦾
Because things have been so crazy for me over the past month, my brain got a little burnt out and I don’t want to miss anyone; if you’ve been patiently waiting on me to get to this point, please hit me up and let’s get you sorted. 💙
FINALLY completed the DIY 36k btu 3-zone AC/heat pump system install with units in the bedroom (9k), studio (9k) and main house (18k). We are fired up and running without issue! 🦾
Taking the crap 5k temporary window AC out of the bedroom and getting the studio put back together today. Back up and working this week to catch up on/with everyone that’s been waiting on me to get this done! 🫱🏼🫲🏽
That moment when you’re questioning your life as the Texas sun melts you on stage in 102+ degree heat. 🫠😜
I can’t really be a ‘lil bitch about it though; I only had to stand there lol. Felt it in my gut for all the drummers playing the festival. 🥵 Anyways, feeling good that the return of Head Automatica went flawlessly! 🦾🫱🏼🫲🏽
Wire management level: GOD MODE
Get yourself a computer builder who knows the needs of an audio of video professional first-hand, and also just happens to have OCD.
Hint: it’s me, I’m your guy. 🙋🏻🤓
Spent the last week doing tour prep and rehearsal amidst palm trees. Caught the morning sunrise just before heading to bed after a productive all-nighter.
I’ve been a bit removed from social media for a while, now. Going to try and put some effort back into sharing more often again. What better way to kick it off than some glory shots of the new room? 😍
New house with an actual basement = ability to be loud again. 😈 It also means finally having the ability to track and record in-house again! 👀🦾 Got the kit set up; time to build the chops back up… 🥁
When I was young, a show and 2 flights on 3 hrs sleep would’ve been much less of a struggle bus day. 🤣 Thank you, caffeine.
All in a day’s work, my man. Hope you enjoyed the show. Respect
Headed west for a couple weeks. Expecting to be “back to business as usual” with the studio in the new house around 2nd week of Nov! 🤘🏻
Just in case anyone was wondering, breaking down and moving a proper music studio alongside just normal moving to a new house is essentially like moving twice at once; after the past 7 weeks of renovating and moving, I am officially dead. ☠️😂
I’m almost fully set back up, however, and the first masters from the new room have already left the building and received v1 approvals… 👀🦾
EMA v2.0, 9/2018-9/2022
I bid farewell to the location of the studio for the past 4 years last night as my fiancé and I moved the final carload into our new home. Always feels so weird to see the room empty after! This also marks about a decade of doing this for a living and well over 2 decades engineering, period! 😯
Reflecting back over the last 4 years, a lot was achieved and endured in this space; many firsts for me and my career and I survived the pandemic in this room. There was an immeasurable amount of amazing music made and worked on with people I am lucky to call friends and clients. While on one hand I am sad to leave this phenomenal space which had a natural response of +/- 3db, on the other hand I’m excited to begin the next chapters of both my career and my life.
EMA v3.0 incoming…stand by for transmission… 📡
Life milestone, 8.22.22; became homeowners. 🎉🥳🏡
I HAVE A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!
I'm proud to say that after an INSANE past 12 months behind closed doors trying to make something happen, I finally feel comfortable to share that my fiancé and I will be closing on our first home in a couple weeks! 🥳
We have until the end of September in our current place so we have about 4 weeks time to move and transition over. I will need this time to focus on the move and then properly setting up the studio in the new house; hopefully that's understandable! As a bonus, I will FINALLY be able to do recording/tracking once set up in the new space and we will have a fully furnished guest room with a dedicated bathroom for overnight stays! 🦾
If you have anything needing immediate attention not already in the pipeline, I have about 2-3 weeks left where I can use my time for audio work before I have to kick into remodeling and moving mode with the new house.
Very much appreciate the support! Being self-employed, I'd be dumb not to be feeling nervous and a bit scared about the increased overhead (interest rates are WILD rn!) but also incredibly excited for this very big next step for us!
Attention anyone who still seeks to pay via PayPal...your time to avoid also being expected to cover the fees they take ends on July 28th; "Friends and Family" will be no more.
Venmo = no fees, also owned by PayPal. Zelle is even better and also free. 👍🏻
It’s pretty simple, really.
Very excited for and would like to congratulate on his official debut with the release of “Don’t Lie” featuring from ! 🥳
I had the honor and pleasure of co-writing + producing the track as well as covering mixing and mastering duties. Stoked to see music coming back around to my OG roots lately and excited to work on more of it! 🤘🏻
