Church of the Covenant
A progressive faith community in a historic building. Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:30am
Rest in power and peace Nex. May this never happen again. May we rise up to show radical love and acceptance to all transgender beloveds in our communities. And may the political and religious powers that continue to so violently condemn and deny people their fullness be stymied and utterly fail. Come on fellow Christians, let's begin to love like Jesus with fierce, table turning love that allows everyone to flourish. ~R
Join us tonight at 6:30pm in person or online for Ash Wednesday as we remember both our mortality and belovedness. https://www.cotcbos.org/this-sunday-online.html

Today we canceled worship in our sanctuary in order to worship in the streets of NYC where we chanted “climate justice now” as part of the March to End Fossil Fuels. It was a beautiful, hope filled day where we felt buoyed by the love, solidarity and prayer of the rest of our Covenant church family and as we joined in with over 75,000 others who believe another world beyond fossil fuels is possible and necessary. Yes we can, in faith and hope and the power of the Spirit!
Join us in New York City 9/17/23 in the March to End Fossil Fuels. Our Church of the Covenant in downtown Boston is canceling our worship service to travel together to NYC to "worship in the streets" and demand our government do the right thing for climate justice. RSVP HERE: tinyurl.com/cotc917

On this Saint Brigid Day (Imbolc), where the fires of racial injustice burn deep across our land, we all need some more of this. Thank you Kristen Newell (yes, daughter of J. Phillip).
This dance honoring St. Brigid and the Divine Feminine by Kirsten Newell, filmed in the Orkney Islands. The Gaelic song being sung by Mischa Macpherson is based on John Philip's prayer from Sacred Earth Sacred Soul:
Awake, O my soul,
to the beauty of the divine deep within you
and awake to its fragrance in the body of the earth.
Know its strength of attraction
and its grace to heal what has been torn apart.
Awake, O my soul,
to the beauty of the divine deep within you.
Awake, O my soul.
Awake.

in perpetual light burning,
