Medical Assistant (Full-time)
We are seeking multiple Certified Medical Assistants to work at a Community Hospital in Boston.

Hours - 9:00- 5:00pm Mon- Friday

Principal Duties and Essential Functions:

• Escorts patients to exam rooms and provides direct patient care.

• Prepares patient exam rooms to ensure they are ready for patients and doctors. Keeps the exam rooms stocked with supplies needed to perform patient assessments. Responsible for keeping exam rooms clean.

• Performs diagnostic testing which may include but is not limited to, urine collection, phlebotomy, EKG, etc., as ordered.

• Obtains prior authorizations for same-day imaging and medication as required by payors.

• Records vital signs and assists Physicians with patient exams. Enters all data into electronic health records.

• Complies with all PQRS, Meaningful Use, and other Quality requirements (required vitals, e-prescribing, etc).

• Reports all pertinent observations to the Physician, Office Manager, Director, or other health team member.

• Coordinates surgical bookings, ancillary testing, and consultations as necessary.

• Follows up with patients on test results, rx refills, and assists with patient education.

• Functions as a liaison between the patient and their family and the health care team.

• Performs other related duties as required. Supports front desk duties as needed (mail, fax inbox, phones, check-in, co-pay collection, etc.)

Certification/Licensure;

Medical Assistant Certificate preferred BLS required

Monday through Friday; Onsite

Responsibilities:

-Organizes and prepares patient visits including patient summary sheets, labels, and huddle sheets for daily clinic
-Prepares exam rooms for the patient encounter; restocks, and cleans as necessary
-Calls patients from the lobby into the exam room using two patient identifiers and using proper pronouns
-Obtains chief complaint, vital signs, allergies, surveys, screenings, and consent forms from patient
-Prepares office visit note and documents vital signs in CPS

Requirements:

Completion of Medical Assistant Program
Certified CMA or CRMA
1 year of clinical expeirence
Bilingual in Haitian Creole or Spanish is desirable, but not required

-Collaborate with other professionals to develop treatment plans for patients
-Provide care and support daily to patients and also intervene during crisis periods
-Constantly monitor and supervise patients to ensure their safety within the facility
-Always on the lookout for behavioral changes in patients

We are seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to work in Boston, MA.

The certified nursing assistant helps patients with direct health care needs, often under the supervision of a nurse.

Some of their responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Turning or moving patients
Gathering medical supplies
Bathing and grooming patients
Feeding patients and documenting their food and liquid intake
Checking vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate
Answering patient calls
Documenting information
Assisting with some medical procedures
Transporting patients
Taking care of wounds
Requirements:

Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant
Bilingual in Spanish or Haitian Creole
