A thought for those parents and family members of ex premature infants: While their time in the Neonatal ICU is forever fading into the past, their being born premature should remain in our thinking. It may explain later struggles in school or may impact medical management of issues that arise through their child. Always though—we must celebrate their successes and love them for who they are!

Kids with complex and chronic illness have dropped from site in many instances as they’ve stayed home during lockdown and they the pandemic. We know from pediatric practice that their lives very much continue… And in many cases they need our support.
