Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries recently held an open house and ribbon cutting at its newly renovated store in Central Square in Cambridge. Goodwill has had a store in Cambridge for more than 100 years and has been at its current location at 520 Massachusetts Avenue since 1988. Thank you to Vice Mayor Marc McGovern, City Councilors Sumbul Siddiqui and Ayesha Wilson for attending as well as Police Commissioner Christine Elow and US Rep. Katherine Clark's District Director Wade Blackman. We appreciate the support from the Cambridge community!

It's always great to talk with students about Goodwill! Yesterday, we were at Amherst at the Isenberg School of Management where we met with students in a nonprofit marketing class. Lots of interest and great questions. We look forward to returning in the spring semester!

India Appleton, center, from Dell, visited Goodwill this week to take a look at our computer recycling program with Dell Reconnect. The program recycles old computers and accessories, keeping them from going to waste. Goodwill also provides the donated computers to participants in job training programs and sells some of the computers at a low cost in our stores.
