Club History – The Boston Storm was founded by Dennis Lukens as a Professional Soccer Team that competed in the USISL from 1993 to 1995 as one of the initial members of the USISL Northeast Division. In 1993, the Storm played 6 exhibition games against USISL opponents and International Competition with a record of 3-3 including games against the German World University Games Team and the United Sta

tes World University Games Teams that drew large crowds of spectators for the first professional soccer games to be held at Bowditch Field in Framingham. On July 3, 1993 in a historic match The Boston Storm defeated the German World University Games Team 1-0 at Bowditch Field in Framingham, MA. The Boston Storm and Dennis Lukens helped develop and provided professional playing opportunities for numerous local players (6) that went onto successful careers in Major League Soccer (MLS). State, Colorado Rapids), John DeBrito (So. State, New England Revolution), Dan Calichman (Williams College, LA Galaxy), Jeff Causey (University of Virginia, DC United), Francis Okroh (Boston University, New England Revolution), Bo Oshoniyi (Southern Conn. State, Kansas City Wizards). Player/Coach Dennis Lukens went onto coach in the USL “A” League, Major Indoor Soccer League, the St Lucia Olympic Team and became the first American to be a Head Coach of a professional soccer team in the former Soviet Union with FC Krystal Kherson. Other notable players include Mike Masters who played for the US National Team and was the first American to score a goal at England’s Wembley Stadium. Striker Joe Baroso played for the Storm in 1993 and played for the US National Team. DeBrito and Calichman were also were United States National Team players. Storm Goalkeeper Jeff Duback who was part of the US National Teams qualification for the 1990 World Cup played for the Storm during the 1993 exhibition schedule. In Total 5 male players from the Storm played for the US National Team and 2 femaie members of the US National Team from the Boston Storm. Addionally, Boston Storm players Kevin Anderson and Gary Cronin played for the U-20 United States National Team while Bo Oshoniyi, DeBrito and Cronin played for the United States World University Ganes Team. Dennis Lukens and The Boston Storm also started the first USISL Women’s Team in Massachusetts and was a founding member of the “W” League Northeast Division. The Boston Storm Women’s Team played an exhibition season in 1994 and participated in the first regular USISL Northeast Division season in 1995 as a founding member. The Boston Storm Womenâ€™s Team featured several outstanding players that went onto play in the WUSA and for the US National including Jen Mead (US National Team, WUSA San Jose Cyber Rays) and Nicole Roberts (US National “B” Team, WUSA Philadelphia Charge). The Boston Storm gave opportunities to play at the highest level in the United States to men and women soccer players from schools such as Boston University, Boston College, Babson College, Williams College, Providence College, Holy Cross College, Salem State, Southern Connecticut State College, Boston College, Yale University, University of Virginia, Weslyan College. New Hampshire College. The goal of the new Boston Storm FC is to follow in the footsteps of the original Boston Storm. That goal is once again to provide players an outstanding coaching, training, competition and club experience that will give our youth players the opportunity to play at the College Level, in the MLS, and for the US National Team.

A very big congratulations to our Girls U-10 Team on their first victory a 4-3 over FCUSA a very good and big club (40 teams) and good GU-10 team. Today we were better.

Today our girls fought, ran at defenders with the ball, were organized, tackled and scored excellent goals at the right moments.

Our Boston Storm Girls U-10 Team proved that all is possible with desire, dedication and belief. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It with great pride that I announce that the Boston Storm FC as a club went 5-2-1 this weekend

Most important is that every week our players get better and better. I see it with my own eyes and I am just overwhelmed at the improvements week to week.

Boys U-9 Marlborough - 2 wins running their record to 9-0 this year.
Wins this fall over the who's who of clubs MA. Our U-9's have beaten FC Hammer (5 Mass Youth Soccer State Finals in 2014), Fuller Hamlets (Founded 1972), FCUSA (30 Teams Ex Liverpool Director of Youth Academy as their DOC), Abby Villa SC (20 staff members and 50+ Teams) and the Gallway Rovers (Founded 35 years ago and have 23 staff coaches). All these clubs with 30-80 teams and in business for years and years and our Boston Storm FC U-9 Team has beaten all of them this fall.

Boys U-9 Boston - Won a game against Fuller Hamlets (Founded 1972) and tied a game against FC Hammer (Multiple State Champion).

Boys U-12 - Broke out with a 10-2 Win over FCUSA Coastal. FCUSA are directed by ex Liverpool Youth Academy Director. Boston Storm FC was coached by Leonard Oshyiemi.

Girls U-13 - Got their first win of the season with a smart, clean 2-0 win. They we denied a tie in their last game by a referee's decision and bounced back like the champions they are. Goals by Lauren Caponi and Kiley Pietropaolo.

Looking forward already to training our teams and players this week.
