Early mornings at the Vatican to kick start the month of August!🇻🇦
Summer temperatures are peaking in the Italian capital. Luckily, Rome is home to over 2,500 drinking fountains throughout the city.
The "Nasone," translating to "big nose" in English, is what Romans call their drinking fountain. The water from these fountains is safe to drink, as it comes from the city's aqueduct system, which provides clean and potable water to residents and tourists alike.
Bring your water bottle, stay hydrated, and happy touring!
Don't just visit what the city of Rome offers, but taste everything, too!
On our 'Trastevere Street Food Experience' tour, we are hitting the cobblestone streets of Trastevere with a local Roman guide and eating as the Romans do 🍕🍇🍝
Here's what our client E. has to say about her experience:
"My teen daughter and I went on this tour with Francesco as our guide. We had such a good time walking through the streets of Rome, eating finger-linking good food, all the while learning some of the roman culture, not all related to food. We had 6 stops for food (and then some)... all worth it, places I would want to come back to. This tour gave us the opportunity to experience Rome like a local, with a local, in a small group, and we'll never forget it."
Taking a walk through history 🌋🏛🏺
Did you know the original roads of Pompeii were typically made of large blocks of volcanic stone, known as basalt. The original roads were comparable to those in other Roman cities, demonstrating common engineering practices across the Roman Empire.

Thank you to our lovely clients for experiencing our 'Rome to Pompeii Guided Tour with Wine & Lunch by High Speed Train' tour. Here is what they had to say:
"We had a blast on this tour. Pompeii has been on my bucket list forever and the local guide gave us a wonderful tour. Every site was better than the last. Our favorite part of the day, however was the lunch at the winery. It is really close to Pompeii and just beautiful. Good wine and great food! I also love that we cut several hours off of the trip by taking the high-speed train instead of a car."
Pompeii is one of the must-sees of Italy for a reason: when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD, the bustling Roman city was quickly buried under ash and pumice, a terrible tragedy where most of the inhabitants did not escape. However, the ash preserved the city, providing us with an excellent snapshot of what Roman life was like at the time.
While Pompeii is a must-see, or maybe because of it, it’s also one of the most popular sites to visit in Italy. Tour with our very own local Pompeian!

Have you had the opportunity of seeing Michelangelo's David? Created between 1501 and 1504, the twelve-feet-tall sculpture portrays the biblical hero David before his battle with the Philistine giant, Goliath.
The sculpture depicts the muscular, athletic form of David, standing with a calm and composed expression, holding a sling over his left shoulder and a stone in his right hand. The sculpture has become an iconic symbol of Italian Renaissance art and has been replicated numerous times in art and popular culture.

Thank you to our client Kate V. for the review and traveling with us!
"We had such a wonderful time with Giorgia, our amazing guide through the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and Basilica tour. Her friendly nature, great knowledge of art history, and passion for the place were infectious. The last leg of the tour was just the 3 of us, and we felt like we were with an old friend who was proud to share this beautiful space. We hated to part with her, but before we did, she kindly shared a great restaurant recommendation. Thank you, Giorgia, for a day that was a real highlight of our trip."
