I’m not really sure how to put into words the magic that was last night. The only accurate description is to simply say, beautiful. There are far too many people to thank for last night. I truly wouldn’t have been able to do this alone. Many people want to give me the credit, but I need to give credit where it’s due. I have a village behind me that allows me to live out my dreams every single year. They let me do what I do best and they let me do it my way. It’s rare to have those kind of people around u, I’m just lucky to be blessed by so many. Yesterday was the biggest turn out. 1000 people at the event. It was chaotic, but beautiful. Worth all it took to make it happen. Our honored guests left happy. All the volunteers left on cloud 9. It was perfect.

Being her mom is my greatest joy.

My friend W***y that you all know, is having a medical procedure tomorrow.( please don’t ask for details about the procedure as I have to protect him and will not disclose it). pls just send all ur prayer and good vibes his way. I will not be open at the stand all at tomorrow as I have to be there for him. He is family and he come first. I know u all understand that. It’s not only a duty but an honor to do this for him. Love u all and thank u for ur understandings see u all Wednesday morning.

To say she is the love of my life is an understatement. I need her to breathe, to live, to be happy, to find joy. I cannot live life without her. I need her much more than she needs me. I am completely and utterly obsessed with her. I will love her for this life time and the next. I can never be without her. Thank you my girl for being more than I could have been expected or even asked her. U are a priceless gift. I love u endlessly.

It’s official we are hosting Night to shine again!!!! It’s my 10th year and I cannot be more excited. This event is the highlight of my year. It’s truly magical.

6 years ago today I took a leap of faith and I opened up Beca’s Brew. It’s been a wild journey to say the least, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Their have been many hill and many valleys, but Jesus definitely got me through it. I have a wonderful village of people who help me persevere. Thank you all. Thank you Bothell. You all are real ones.

We are 1 day away from Night to Shine. Thank you to all who have decided to commit their Friday to serving at this amazing event. Planning it this year has been challenging. So many doors closed in my face, and yet so many unexpectedly opened up. I’m forever grateful for my village. You all held me up and kept me pushing. Many times I felt discouraged and thought I wouldn’t be able to do this event in the manner I’ve done in the past. You all encouraged me. No one more than my wonderful pastor, Russell Korets. Thank you Russell for always believing in my vision. For never telling me my ideas are too much. For allowing me to do things the “Beca way.” You are the real MVP. I say it every year, but this year I really mean it… this will be the best Night to shine yet.

We are officially 1 week from Night to Shine. I am so very excited. It truly is my favorite night of the year. I feel so blessed an honored to be part of an organization and a church who want nothing more than to love the most vulnerable and voiceless in our communities. This will be a night to remember.

How lucky I am to have you. This pictures sums up your heart. Kind, gentle and so, so loving. All of your little cousins gravitate towards you because you are so pure of heart. I know ur kindness comes from Jesus, and I thank him every day for making you as he did. I pray this world never changes you, but rather you change this world. I love you so much my princess, the love of my life. I strive to be just like you.

Woodmark Church Woodmark Church is a community church located in Kirkland, near Bellevue, Bothell, Woodinville and the Eastside.

On this Giving Tuesday please consider donating to a cause that is very near and dear to me. Night to shine is a wonderful night that we honor people in our community who do not get the recognition they deserve. They add so much love and value to all of us. My amazingly patient, kind, magical girl turns 14 today. Parents often wonder where time has gone every year that passes. When she was younger I often grappled with the same sentiment. But as the years have gone by I have learned to truly treasure every moment with her. To enjoy our little moments, the wonderful times and the challenging ones too. She is, and will always be my greatest joy and accomplishment. Everything else in my life is simply the confetti that is sprinkled on top. I love u my precious girl. You are the love of my life and I thank Jesus for you every day.

I absolutely have the cutest niece in the world. Auntie will be there baby girl!

My favorite thing to do with my daughter, is to attend church with her. It’s important to me that her faith is solid. It’s the greatest gift I can give her. My parents did that for me and it’s an honor to be able to do that for her.

Andrea is a mom I know, who has a son with autism and advocates a lot for our special needs community on the Eastside. We’ve worked on several projects together. Now she’s advocating for autism families in Ukraine, trying to create a safe space for families who have escaped Russian occupied areas.
