Guardian Scholars Parent Care Package Initiative

Nothing like receiving care packages during a stressful midterm week. Thank you to our amazing donors.
One of our Guardian Scholars received a birthday box as well. From our Guardian Scholar Student-"That birthday box made my birthday complete, best gift I received!"

Super grateful to have received beginning of the semester care packages!! Our guardian scholars have loved the blankets that came in these care packages! Thank you for our care packages!

Prior to semester ending, a guardian scholar came by the office to share that the semester had ended in a great way, with good grades and classes passed. They had also come by to pick up an end of the semester care package. As the news was shared about good grades and classes being passed, our guardian scholar student was super happy to pick up the care package as they mentioned that they loved receiving these care packages through out the semester. They also mentioned that the notes inside the care packages were very motivating and that they enjoyed reading them.

These care packages have meant a lot to our Guardian Scholars. Thank you for all your support!

Apologies on the late friends requests, our fall break just started. But I wanted to say from all of the Guardians, what an amazing time we had last Tuesday at the annual Thanksgiving dinner with our Chancellor and his wife, Phil and Yvonne Distefano and all of the donors that showed up.
Just an amazing opportunity to hang with everyone that makes our time at CU so much easier to do. Thank you to everyone who makes yourselves so approachable. In our world a lot of people can get hung up on power distance so it's nice to feel like we're on equal ground. Big shout out to our director Julian Martinez for ensuring we're bound for success and community!

We were able to get a Guardian Scholars crew out to Six Flags in Denver, post midterms a week ago Friday, just in time for Frightfest. Great time had by all, thanks for all you do donors!!

Thank you donors for the snacks and hoodies. Mine was crazy soft! The snacks couldn't have come at a better time. Midterms are behind us and some nice RR over the weekend. Six of us are heading to Six Flags for Frightfest to wind down from midterms. Hope ya'll have an amazing Halloween and have a lot of fun!

The Guardian Scholars received their September "decompress" box. They are so grateful for the support and love. One of my favorite reactions was, "Woah, this is cool. So these people just do this for us just because they care." Thank you again to all the donors who make these boxes possible!

We wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing donors who have taken the time to provide the Guardian Scholars (GS) amazing CU duffel bags with tons of goodies! The GS were taken back not just by the generosity of the goodies but by the meaningful letters placed into each bag! We truly appreciate the love!

We are excited to have partnered with Flatiron Meal Plan to help provide food assistance to students who have experienced foster care. The Flatiron Meal Plan is a prepaid dining and discount card that allows students to purchase meals and shop for groceries at over 100 local Boulder merchants, both on and off campus.
