Distinctive Hair & Grooming for Men is an upscale fast-growing, full-scale exclusive Barbershop brand and we are looking for talented and hospitality-focused (full-time and part-time) associates to join the team. We are located in PG County convenient to Bowie Maryland. Our vision is a new vision to offer upscale services to our DMV gentlemen. We offer our clients a unique approach in providing outstanding customer service to our clientele and set a new standard in the barbering industry. As a member of the DHG family, we offer the opportunity to grow, work collaboratively just to mention a couple of skills you will learn. If you are a person that is a self-starter, innovative thinker with the ability to time manage and offer the ability to be accountable and want to start a career path for yourself DHG is the place to work send us your resume for consideration!

As a Hostess, you must have a positive first impression of the establishment's friendliness, excellent service, and high standards. The Hostess also greet Guests upon arrival, inform Guests of their wait time, enter Guest names into the computer system, show Guests to their barber and bid Guests farewell as they leave.

As a hostess, you must be able to carry natural conversation with guests without sounding scripted or intrusive. Additionally, the Hostess cares for our Guests by refilling beverages and performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning glasses, ensuring restrooms are clean, stocking supplies, and keeping the salon orderly. As a member of an energetic team, the hostess will also need to answer the phones. Availability must include weekends.

Responsibilities:

Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; es**rt them to their assigned Barber.
Inform Guest of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a polish professional handoff to their barber or service staff
Answer incoming calls and provide appropriate service
Manage the flow of Guests into the member's area and provide accurate wait times to incoming Guests if appropriate
Tend to Guest needs and requests
Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies
Receive payments by validating credit charges; and accepting currency; calculating and issuing change.
Reconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Requirements:

Must be able to read
Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance
Must be able to clearly communicate Guests' needs to salon staff, Managers, etc.
Must be able to walk and stand during the entire shift
Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe
A desire to help out where needed and work as part of a team
Passion for providing extraordinary service
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
An appetite for learning
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
6 months experience in a service industry or beauty/grooming salon
Must be upbeat, outgoing, and positive
Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills
Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively within a team
Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone.
