LUCKY RAMIREZ FAMILY! They have a new home in the colonias of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, that has straight walls and was completed in time for the birth of their baby boy. That might not have been the case if Good Space and our other volunteer partners had done the building, which we were prevented from doing earlier this spring by schedule conflicts. Instead, Operación Abrigo gratefully accepted donations from Kacy Jones, Jeff Strong, Harsh Agarwal, Norm Bjornnes, Craig Schenkel (all local real estate pals), and Good Space, and hired locals to get the work done in our absence.

If you want to be part of a team of gringos who will clumsily build more homes outside Juárez over three days in late January of 2025, please send us an email to [email protected].
