We can often see the Christian life as nothing but an arduous struggle to be endured day after day, but in this passage we are promised that those who persevere through hard times - focused on Jesus and the solutions He can bring into our lives - receive a crown of life. Jesus told us that He came to bring not just eternal life but abundant life (John 10:10). The point is that we should NEVER give up no matter how difficult life gets, no matter how far we THINK we have fallen. That crown of life is waiting for those who love God and persevere in their circumstances!
Join us tonight at the Wylie Swim Club () from 6:30 to 8:00 pm for an awesome time of fellowship! We’re grilling bratwurst and hot dogs, so bring your favorite side dish! But more importantly, bring yourself! The only thing that can make this better is YOU being there!
👑
We weren’t made to simply receive the comfort of God in our own troubles. God gives comfort to us so that we can introduce it into the lives of others when they are in need of it. Happy Wednesday everyone! Champs peeps, see y’all at (Wylie Swim Club) tonight at 6:30!
When you need hope and encouragement, God’s Word provides.
Wednesday night fellowship TONIGHT @ the church! 6:30 - 8:00 pm! The only thing that could make it better is YOU being there!
Bitterness and unforgiveness can hold us back in ways we can’t even fathom. Resolve today to seek God and ask His Spirit to reveal to you those you need to forgive and release.
“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say:
‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’”
—Hebrews 13:5-6
We have all, at one time or another, dealt with the “keeping up with the Jones’s” syndrome. Knowing the Father is for us and will never leave us should make us grateful beyond words for Him and what he has already given us. Be blessed today, children of the Most High!
We cannot bear any good fruit apart from Jesus.
Short version: Help one another, be there for one another, love one another. This is the definition of community, this is how we show the world we are disciples of Christ - by our love for one another.
There is no end to God’s love for us. It should leave every believer at a total loss for words when we try to fathom what we did to earn such an everlasting, unconditional, powerful love from the God that holds our very lives in His hands. The answer, of course, is nothing whatsoever. And THAT, BY ITSELF, should drive every believer to their knees in gratitude, not to mention an increasing awareness of just how much we need Him.
There was such a sweet spirit of fellowship last night at our at (Wylie Swim Club). The food was amazing (thank you Tim, Kathy, Teri and David) and the conversations were meaningful and filled with vision of what God is going to do in our city. Want in on this?? Join us this Sunday at 10 am @ 7474 Buffalo Gap Road and experience the life changing love of Jesus!
The same power that conquered the grave lives in us.
Guess that cold front came through…
Hope to see all of you at the Wylie Swim Club () tonight! 6-8 pm! Hot dogs served at 6:30! Bring the whole family, swim if ya like, or just enjoy the company of your church family, or both!
Good for thought…
Thank you Lord for the rain AND the cool down!
Word…
“… Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecclesiastes 12:13
“And He said to them, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.’”
Matthew 22:37-40
Guard your hearts, it sets the course for your life.
Humble yourselves before God. Let Him exalt you when the time is right.
