Since our veterans do not attend on Mondays, we celebrated Veterans Day for 2 days and gave our veterans handmade cards and a gift card! To Mr. JR and Mr. Kevin, we love you and we appreciate you. Thank you for the sacrifices you made for our country and for blessing us with the opportunity to spend time with you here at Active Day of Bowling Green.

Today is Center Director Day and here at Active Day Bowling Green, we have been blessed with the best. There is no one on this earth like Sheila Sanders

Sheila is an extraordinary woman. She has worked with individuals with disabilities for over 20 years. She is center director, business owner of Soulful Expressions catering company, family home provider, licensed cosmetologist, and currently acquiring her masters in Mental Health Counseling.

She is a leader and a perfect example of hard work. We appreciate her wisdom, her calm, and her relentless advocacy for our members. We asked members what they love about her and their answers said it all! This center, the staff, and members are all so much better because Sheila Sanders is in our lives. Today, and every day, we celebrate Sheila as a Director, a leader, and as a human.

We had a blast at the Celebrate Community Concert! Thank you to Med Center Health for inviting us!

Today we celebrated our nurses! As a medical center, our nurses are the heartbeat of Active Day. Here at Active Day Bowling Green, we have been blessed with two of the best nurses!

Nurse Tina, RN, has been in the medical field for 23 years. From day 1, she has been a powerful force in the center. Her attention to detail, her compassion, and her leadership has made all of us better. She is loved and adored by every single member and staff in this building. Nurse Tina is a walking medical journal, hardworking, and a powerful advocate for every single member.

Nurse Vonica, LPN, affectionately called Nurse V amongst the members and staff, has been the perfect addition to the Active Day family. Nurse V has been in the medical field for 38 years. One of the most incredible things about Nurse V is that she is the calmest person in the room, always. She radiates a sense of peace and she is so loved by everyone here.

Thank you so much to our wonderful nurses for everything you do!! We are so thankful for you!

For day 4 of ADS week, we had a transportation celebration!! We decorated our buses and took a ride around Bowling Green today! Thank you so much to our new Transportation coordinator, Brooke, and lead driver, Mandy, for making today possible! To all of our drivers, we love and appreciate you!

Day 3 of Adult Day Services week! Staff appreciation!

Our incredible staff put the active in Active Day! We are so thankful for the love and care they put into their job everyday!

Thank you to our wonderful director, Sheila Sanders, for the donuts, lunch, and each staff member's favorite goodies! Thank you to Stacy and Crystal for spoiling us with iced coffee!!

Wow, what an incredible way to kick off Adult Day Services week! We celebrated community by dancing with Big Red, Serving lunch to our First responders, and closed out Day 1 with a visit from Governor Andy Beshear! Thank you to WKU Athletics and BGPD for celebrating with us!
