This message is a general THANK YOU to our amazing clients and to our staff.

The past three years have been a challenge to say the least. After three years of fighting staffing issues brought on by the pandemic and subsequent nationwide shortages of Veterinarians we are for the first time in ten years fully staffed at both offices.

I have seen over twice as many patients in the past three years as the average practitioner in the US. That combined with the societal impact of the pandemic on people of all stripes has made my job at our hospitals very taxing. I absolutely love what I do, I love our clients and their babies dearly but it’s time for me to slow down.

For the foreseeable future I will be working four shifts per week split between the offices. The good news for all of you is that your babies will be cared for by the best Veterinary Staff and nursing staff in our county. In fact, I would put our staff up against any practice……..anywhere.

Not in any particular order……..

Dr Chris Fellacher is a kind, caring and extremely competent practitioner who works at our Gateway office exclusively.

Dr Jessica Banting is a very smart, capable practitioner who is a Boynton Beach native and has made my life so much better already by anchoring the Woolbright location.

Dr Barr is a young, enthusiastic practitioner who brings her recent graduate knowledge to the table. Dr Barr is a very bright and caring young lady.

Dr Alvarez is next in the list and like myself and our friend Dr Adam’s is a seasoned practitioner who is unflappable and always ready to help our amazing clients with a smile.

Lisa and I ask that you please give these folks a chance. I am confident they will be able to help you in a way that is not only satisfactory but exemplary!

God Bless and thank you for being such loyal clients and thank you in advance for the years of continuing service our team will provide you and your fur babies.

Sincerely,

RMDVM

Had more fun at work today than I have in 18 months. 25 patients today and countless phone calls etc. Lots of sick babies as well as routine cases and preventive health care. This last year has been tough on our staff but the cream rises to the top EVERY TIME!
Many thanks to Sue, Carly, Ana, Lorena and Madison for making my job so ridiculously easy. There is not a better group in the county..........except for the rest of our staff!!!!

With our ever increasing volume of work we are in need of receptionists, nurses, technicians, assistants and kennel staff. Please refer anyone who might be interested to me directly or to Lisa.

God Bless these amazing people!

Providing a quick update about our practices for the next two weeks…….

Lisa and I want to publicly acknowledge our amazing Veterinarians and staff who have remained loyal to us! These past couple of weeks have been emotionally, physically and financially devastating to our entire Colonial Hospital Family. We are so appreciative of the hard work put forth by our staff on behalf of our clients and patients.

We are trying to bring our work lives back to what we called “normal” before this temporary pause in services. We have now reopened both offices with somewhat reduced capacity. We currently have a staffing shortage which has forced me to scale back our hours so that we will have appointments available from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday and from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM Saturdays. This will continue until staffing levels rise once again.

The best news I have to share with you is that each of our staff members affected by Covid 19 are well on their way to recovering if not fully recovered. There are a couple of people with some lingering symptoms but seem to be slowly progressing in a positive direction.

Thank you to all of our amazing clients and your continuing support of these two hospitals.

God Bless,

Rob Martin DVM

To all of our amazing clients! We so appreciate your patience and understanding as we have worked through our recent pause in service. Tomorrow morning, August Ninth we will open the Gateway office with reduced capacity based on staffing. In advance we appreciate your awareness that our staff has been through a lot and they continue to shine as great examples of professional integrity. The phones at the Woolbright office will be manned all day tomorrow hopefully in preparation of opening Woolbright Tuesday and no later than Wednesday. We have worked so hard for 23 years in Boynton Beach to be a part of this community. We pray to you understand our situation and will continue to let us care for your babies!
