Since my first job, it’s been a dream of mine to break free. Free from the 9-5 handcuffs… Real Estate and Short Term Rentals have opened my eyes to that freedom. While I can see it on the horizon..the “money” isn’t what really excites me, it’s the TIME that does.

Time to travel with my family, to golf, to live a life how it’s supposed to be lived. Time to do whatever a person can dream of.

If you love vacation rentals, designing, real estate, becoming an entrepreneur, and all things short term rentals…you’ll feel right at home here. 🤍

Let’s start off with a fun fact 😂 When Caleb and I were dating, we lived in a flip WHILE renovating it and I was not ~thriving~ to say the least. If you’ve done this/are currently doing this, I’m sure you can relate. Living in dust, doing projects at all hours (especially late before our regular 9-5 jobs), and just the never ending of a “home” not necessarily feeling like home. It wasn’t fun and I wanted nothing to do with it.

Fast forward 8 months, I dove into Real Estate and became licensed in AZ. Two weeks later, we decided to move to MT where I also got my RE license. NOW…3 years later here we are owning & co-hosting 8 short term rentals and I would have never thought this was the direction we were heading.

The point of that fun fact is for me to let you know that I DID NOT have any idea what I wanted to do in life (sometimes I still feel that way), but I’m very happy I trusted my gut and it lead me here (and got a biiiiggg push from Caleb). I don’t have a crazy motivational story where this has been “it” for me all along because it simply hasn’t…and that’s OK! Now that I’m here, I really am enjoying every bit..our clients, our destinations, the design aspect, providing an experience for our guests and so much more…🫶

Are you mixing business and pleasure in your business? Perhaps you’ve heard of someone being “married to their work”, but what happens when you’ve literally done this and are now in business with your significant other?

Before you do anything, our “pro tip” would be to establish those ground rules to make sure you don’t want to fight each other everyday 😂

For example: Define your roles and responsibilities and take on your strengths in the team, separate home AND work, try not to sweat the small stuff, try to give space and do things separately outside of work, and lastly…put your egos aside and LISTEN to each other and respect both opinions.

As long as you’re playing on the SAME team, doing business together isn’t always easy but putting our marriage first, celebrating wins, never forgetting our why, and keeping our eyes on the end goal, it is so rewarding and fun.
