Just a little spring dump in Montana! This is Hyalite Canyon Road which is closed every year from April 15-May 31, such a great place to bike and walk. The snow is melting fast and the flowers are poking right up through!

The snowstorm that exceeded expectations - no need to go to the gym today! That's an honest 2 feet in town and a great followup to a beautiful stretch of spring break sun basking. I love Montana weather:) What a great ski season!

It's already winter in Bozeman and we're having the best start to a ski season that we've seen in nearly 10 years! Big Sky is open and Bridger Bowl opens this Friday, Dec 10.

The other news is that Bozeman is less busy than it has been since pre-pandemic times so last minute trips are easily booked and low season rates are in effect. We even still have some availability left for the holidays. After 2 1/2 years of going full bore this is a welcome shift for all!

Airbnb and VRBO Travelers Read This:

Many Airbnb & VRBO hosts have a generally poor experience when using those platforms (difficult to use communicate with travelers, poor support when there are issues with guests, etc).
Did you know that Airbnb now adds 16% to the nightly rate? This is roughly what I charge to manage the entire house throughout the year and gives the traveler no benefit. Once a traveler books a house using Airbnb or VRBO the service fee is non-refundable, even if the reservation is canceled.

A quick google search can often yield lower cost booking options by letting you avoid Airbnb and VRBO service fees - just type in the name of the house and add the town or area where it is and see if the owner or manager has their own booking platform. It's much easier for hosts to use their own system communicate and help you with your reservation should you wish to change dates, switch houses, etc.

Airbnb and VRBO are great ways to find homes, and a quick search can sometimes lead you to an even better experience!

Amazing what 100 inches of snow in just 3 weeks at Bridger Bowl can do for the surface of the earth! Zoom in on the steep areas in the 2nd photo and notice the vertical fluting that forms.

It's all been turned into base with the chinook winds but the cycle starts over tomorrow:) Weekday tickets are easily obtainable and it's so nice to ski with a 3500 person max capacity.
