Self Care Sunday! ❤️ I love the way @russellbrand describes meditation here, and how he explains our thoughts as an external phenomena, and not who we are. This was similar to my biggest takeaway from the amazing @heroesandhorses Gala we attended Friday night (I’m late in posting but have pictures to share soon, from this wonderful evening)! The founder Micah said that we can’t change the things that have happened to us, but we can change the way we think about the things that have happened to us. I’ve heard this sentiment many times before, but I guess it has never landed the same as when a Combat veteran says it. It was a simple statement with profound meaning behind it, and I’m still processing. ❤️ I hope you find some time for your Self Care this week.
