We were delighted to join Pace Center for Girls, Manatee for the groundbreaking ceremony of their new state-of-the-art facility. We are thrilled to have played a part in helping Pace raise funds for this remarkable project.

Capital Campaign: Under the exceptional leadership of John and Amanda Horne, more than $6.1 million has been secured to construct an expanded, 17,000+ square foot facility. This new space will allow Pace Center for Girls to both deepen and expand its invaluable services.

We love our Pace girls, and we also love giving back to our community. We can’t wait to help them raise even more money!

Congratulations to our May Oyster Rock Star of the Month: Trey Horne!

A bit about Trey: he works in our Home Office as our Development & IT Manager. He has been leading with passion and precision, ensuring that North Port not only met but exceeded expectations.

Trey has truly gone above and beyond with his effort, time, and dedication in the opening of our newest gem, Anna Maria Oyster Bar North Port. His commitment is nothing short of legendary, working 16-hour days, 7 days a week to ensure that every aspect of the opening was smooth and successful.

Every day brought new challenges, and every day Trey tackled them head-on with his calm and collected demeanor. His deep knowledge and incredible ability to build strong relationships helped us navigate through the bumps on the road, ensuring we stayed on track and kept our spirits high.

We are thrilled to have hosted the Manatee Chamber of Commerce's Power Hour Luncheon at UTC this past Wednesday. It was our first time hosting this event. Cheers to many more events at Anna Maria Oyster Bar UTC! 🥂

We have a second-place winner, but in our eyes, it's first place! 😉 The prize of dinner for two for one year at AMOB, AKA the BEST prize, goes to Brendan Flanagan. His father Mark G Flanagan, a former member of the Florida House of Representatives from the 68th district, graciously accepted the prize on behalf of his son behalf.

Quacky, from Pace Center for Girls, Manatee, of course, was there to celebrate with us as we presented the prize and awarded the winning certificate.

We love Pace and everything they do for the community! We cannot wait for next year's Lucky Ducky Race for Pace to help raise even more money!

📚 Exciting news! Today we kicked off our 8th year of Dive Into Reading!

The Anna Maria Oyster Bar created Dive Into Reading to combat the “summer slide” among rising 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders in Manatee County's Title I elementary schools. We provide hot breakfasts and pair children with mentors who help with reading and basic social skills.

Thanks to our 400+ mentors, our Oysters Rock Hospitality Team Members, and partnerships with Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, School District of Manatee County, Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County, Manatee County Public Library System, Gecko's Grill & Pub, O'Bricks Irish Pub & Martini Bar, Central Cafe

This summer, we’ve added two more schools and another location (Anna Maria Oyster Bar UTC), now reaching 17 Title I schools and 6 locations with over 500 children. We’re excited to mentor our 3,000th child this summer!

Dive Into Reading is now part of our Shuckin’ Good Cause Foundation, and we welcome Pam Beck, Director of Dive Into Reading, who will expand the program beyond Manatee, Sarasota, and DeSoto counties.

Our Dive Into Reading program is on a mission to boost children’s reading levels and tackle the dreaded “Summer Slide.”

Since its launch in 2017, Dive into Reading has been a beacon of support for children from local Title I elementary schools. We provide a nourishing breakfast and pair them with mentors who help them practice reading. Our mentors come from all walks of life: retired teachers, grandparents, high schoolers, and even some of our restaurant team members!

In collaboration with the Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, this program has flourished with incredible community backing. Recognized by the National Restaurant Association, School District of Manatee County, and Manatee Chamber of Commerce, Dive into Reading has proven its effectiveness in boosting reading proficiency.

This year, we’re aiming higher. We want to reach even more children and continue to make a positive impact on their reading journey.
