—- STORM UPDATE —-

As I am sure most of you have heard, Manatee County has closed all schools Wednesday and Thursday to open as shelters for Tropical Storm Helene. With this information, we have decided we will be OPEN for normal business hours tomorrow, Wednesday September 25th. We will be CLOSED Thursday September 26th.

I will come and assess the school as soon as the storm has passed and it is safe to be on the roads to determine if we will be open on Friday.

All notifications will be made through ProCare as well as posted on our Facebook and website. As always, our main priority is our families safety and all decisions will be made with that in mind.

Parents, Families and Employees,

The School District of Manatee County’s Safety and Security Team is working with Manatee County Emergency Management officials to monitor the tropical system currently forming in the Caribbean Sea. As we follow the recommendations of the School District, we are paying close attention to their updates.

Busy Bee will be open for normal business hours tomorrow, Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

We will keep you updated as we receive additional information about this system’s impact on our school. All notifications will be sent through ProCare as well as posted on our page and website.

As always, our main priority is our families safety and all decisions will be made with that in mind!

21 boxes of Lakeshore goodies got delivered today!!

Tomorrow we will be playing with the sprinkler and splash pads! The kids are going to get SOAKED! Please remember to send in a towel and change of clothes. If your child is wearing a bathing suit, please be sure they have a cover up. Crocs or water shoes would be great as well!
We will be having a picnic lunch with special treats.
We are so excited for another fun day with the kids!

We hope you all stayed safe and dry last night.
We have checked the school. Our playground and parking lot do need some cleaning up, some small branches have fallen. The building has power. We WILL be open, with inside activities and inside recess.

Please be safe if you plan to be on the road today. We can't wait to see our friends!

Next week, August 5-9, is water week! We have lots of fun activities planned for the kids. Please be sure to send extra clothes! We can't wait to celebrate the end of summer with the kids!

VPK students will have both Spring Pictures and Cap and Gown pictures taken. We have additional caps here, so no need to send in the cap you all are working on at home!
