Welcome back Charlie Imes!

I don't often do house concerts so close to home, but then it's not often that I'm booked at The Habitat, one of the busiest and most well designed venues for these intimate concerts. As it happens, it's time for my annual birthday show. (Yee Haw!) I try to do something different & special each time, and we've got a good one for you this year. I'll be joined by my friend & wonderful bass player, Bob Powers. He'll be playing a big upright bass & lending some harmony vocals, and he's great at both. Then we'll also be joined by my good buddy & frequent collaborator Dave Matchette , who never fails to amaze with his prowess on the harmonica. These two guys add so much and I'm really pleased to have them joining me this evening.

We'll be playing some favorite selections from my first 3 albums, plus a few selections of my new CD, "Sittin' Here" (which will also be available at the show.) We'll also give you a taste of the Jimmy Buffett & Fingers Taylor Tribute show that Dave and I recently played, which was enthusiastically received. We've chosen a handful of rarities and deep cuts that aren't often heard, including one or two that most people don't know existed. Rehearsals are sounding great and we're excited to bring you this show.

But wait, there's more! We'll also be celebrating Ken & Heather's 33rd Wedding Anniversary, in addition to it being my 13th Annual 50th Birthday Bash, or if you want to really lean into the whole "3's" thing, we can call it the 33rd Anniversary of my 30th birthday. That's a lot of 3's. Kinda cosmic.

So there ya have it. An evening chock-a-block with good music and fun stories. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll enjoy a Mai Tai... or whatever you wanna drink.

Admission is $20 per person (and a bargain at that.)
Doors open at 5:30pm and the music starts at 6:30pm and will continue (with a break in the middle) until @ 10pm. Bring whatever you want to drink (coolers welcome) and maybe a dish to share or whatever you want to eat for yourself. Either way is fine. Plenty of chairs at the Habitat, so no need to bring one.

Hello RLMS Students!

Our "Coming up on Summer" update....

We have celebrated our first full year in business this last month, and we are now ready to grow - and hope you help us do just that! We have a few things that we think you would interest you as we get into the summer months

(Here is the tl:dr version - if one interests you go to that section!)

1) The Band Project - Summer Sessions - we want to put together 3 bands!
2) Existing students extra lessons at a discount (limited time offer!)
3) Student Referal Bonus lessons
4) An odd request - baby changing table/station... have one to donate?

Read on for the details....

1) The Band Project...

Looking for something for your kids or for you to do over the summer that is fun and rewarding? Many of you already know about "The Band Project" and we want to put a few of them together for this summer. A 6 week series, 2 hours a week session, culminating in a performance with an audience - come be a rock star!

We need guitar, drums, keys, vocals, bass, open to anyone interested - talk to Ken or Maggie and your instructor (we have a few already!). Right now our target start date is the week of June 23rd. We have set the price at $325 for the session for each participant, but for all existing students we are discounting it this summer to $275 in hopes we can put together 3 groups - we will keep it split youth and adults so you are performing with people in your own age group!

2) Extra Lessons...

Have extra time this summer and want to get a great deal on a few extra lessons? Again, this is for existing students only and is in addition to your standard monthly lessons - get an extra 4 lessons for $100 (maximum of 2 packs of 4 lessons) and take advantage of the extra room in the schedule our snowbirds and summer travelers have left you and we are pricing them very low, to let us say "thank you" for being part of our lessons family!

3) Refer a student, get both you and them free lessons!

If you tell a friend (yes, we will also do this for a family member too) and they sign up for lessons, during the second month of their lessons you will get a free lesson (25% off that month billing) and they will too! (the fine print: card on file billing required, discounts happen within the second full month of the new student lessons, and yes, you can get more than one - bring 4 that stay and you get a full free month!)

4) Anyone have a baby changing table/station that they would like to donate?

We have a few students now that have very young ones tagging along, and find ourselves in a position we want to make sure that even the youngest coming in our doors feel welcome - and would like to locate a baby changing table furniture to have available for them - if you have one taking up room in your house that you would be like to donate, let us know!

Just a heads up. 4/27/24 At 2PM (doors at 1) The Wheeland Bothers VIP's are sold out and general seating is very close to sold out. However... if you act NOW, We still have a few VIP seats available for Keith Sykes on May 4th! DON'T forget! We have a Star Wars Mexican celebration weekend. I am collecting bottles of alcohol to create a "booze wagon" to be raffled off for charity at the SBPHC Birthday Party May 17th - 19th.
