In Loving Memory

Lois Walters – Rest In Peace

It is with heavy hearts that we write this message to all of you, letting you know that our Office Manager, Lois Walters, passed away on January 10, 2021.

Lois began working with us over 31 years ago, in 1989, when the company was just started. Lois was the heart and soul of our growing business over the years, and we would never be where we are today without everything she did for us and for you, our customers. We often say that we love Lois like family – that does not adequately express our love, admiration and appreciation for the exceptional woman she was. Lois IS family – to everyone of us that was lucky enough to work with her. She had a way of making you feel special, always taking the time to talk to you and make sure you were doing ok. Lois cared for every person she came in contact with and it was evident to anyone that ever set foot in our offices. As our Front Office Manager – Lois was always a beaming light of sunshine, greeting anyone that walked in through our doors or called on the phone. Her compassion and humor shined through in everything she said or did and this is why so many of you, over the years, have expressed to us just how special Lois was to you, too. We always knew how special she was but it was always special for us to hear from you and see how important she became in the lives and careers of you, our friends and customers. We often referred to Lois as the ‘Mother Hen’ of our office – and that may be the best way to describe the way we all felt about her. Lois was our rock – she was always on top of everything in the front office. ‘Ask Lois’ was probably the most commonly said answer to so many questions over the years in our office. If you didn’t know where something was supposed to be put away – just ‘Ask Lois.’ Didn’t know where the blank forms were for tax filings? ‘Ask Lois.’ This sounds like it could be overwhelming to anyone at their place of work – and it could be, but not for Lois! You could see it in her eyes, a twinkle and a sly smirk, every time she was asked, she just knew. She always knew, and she loved it! In the past few years, we tried to convince Lois to work less hours, take some days off, to spend time at home, or with family. Lois made it clear that we are family too – she ‘cared too much’ if there is such a thing. Lois cared. For us, for her family, for our customers, for everyone! We consider ourselves truly blessed to have had Lois in our lives all of these years. We love her so much and we will miss her dearly. We know she is watching down over us, probably giggling at some of the things we are sorting through at work, things she has taken care of for us for over 3 decades!

We love you and miss you Lois – with all of our heart. You were the heartbeat of our office and we are heartbroken to not be able to see you every day. You will live in the hearts of all of us here at our office.

God bless you, Lois.
Love,
Geoff & Howard Womeldorph and staff

P.S. Lois’ family will be announcing at a later date when and where a memorial service will be held – but it is expected to be held in late Spring or Early Summer, due to COVID restrictions. If you wish to send condolences to the Walters’ family, the mailing address is:

*Please read information below. This program – PAYCHECK PROTECTION PLAN (PPP) of the CARES ACT is a once in a lifetime type situation! Programs like these (bailouts, etc) are not usually available to small companies. The PPP is specifically available to ONLY companies with less than 500 employees. This means you, small business owners!*

As our office closely monitors the developments surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the daily affects in our community, we want to assure you that our first priority is the well-being of our staff and clients.

We understand the concerns you may be experiencing regarding this situation and we will continue to be committed to our services and our client’s needs. That being said, we ask that you pay close attention to your emails as we may need to make adjustments on a regular basis. As such, our staff is available to respond to your emails and phone calls during our regular business hours to assist you in every way possible.

In the meantime, we know many small business owners are concerned with the economic impact of this global health situation. Below we have listed the primary resource we urge you all to consider and apply for first at this - PAYCHECK PROTECTION PLAN LOAN under the CARES ACT! This Act program is the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act that was just passed by Congress which is intended to assist business owners with whatever needs they have right now. Some important bullet points to know about the CARES Act are:

• PAYCHECK PROTECTION PLAN
https://www.sbc.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/GUIDE-TO-THE-CARES-ACT
- This is a form of SBA loan obtainable through your bank. If your bank does not recognize this Act, please move onto another bank. *Important* The Government is emphasizing for all companies to *start* this process with their own bank first. If your bank is unprepared, unwilling, or *not* an existing SBA-qualified lender, THEN move on to another bank.
- The loan could be forgivable as long as the funds are used for “qualified expenses,” such as payroll related expenses, mortgage interest, rent, utilities, health insurance premiums etc.
- Program would be retroactive to February 15, 2020 and would be applicable through June 30, 2020.
- Application deadline is June 30, 2020
