We hope you and your families are saying safe as our first storm of the season passes by. Here are some important reminders for our customers:

-It is very normal with excessive amounts of rain, for your pool to overrun. If this does happen, please rest assure that there is no immediate concerns and the water level can be lowered at a later time when the weather conditions improve.

-Additionally, your deck is specifically designed with a slope to accommodate storm water. The installed deco drain will guide the storm water off the deck. You may want to double check that both ends of the drain are not obstructed as water needs to be able to freely flow out of them.

-If your pool was equipped with a hose bib (spigot), located on your pool pump, you can hook a garden hose up to it to drain out some water. While the pool pump is on, twist the valve to the open position and the water will begin to drain out of the hose. We do NOT recommend draining your pool lower than your skimmer.

DuWet Pools is looking to expand our construction team!

DuWet Pools is primarily focused on new construction of pools and spas in the Manatee County Area. For 20 years, we have provided this community with a quality constructed pool and a trusted support staff. Our construction team performs a variety of jobs during all phases of construction.

We are looking for immediate hire of a full-time construction laborer based out of our Parrish location. A valid driver’s license is required, a Class A CDL is highly desired. Construction experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train a driven candidate.

One of our most requested designs this year has been "something just big enough to get wet in"! This pool is a perfect example of that, while also being quite stunning in appearance. Design Tip: Mixing up tile sizes is a great way to take your pool design to the next level! This pool is a perfect example with 1" x 1" tiles on the spa, and 1" x 2" tiles everywhere else.

Hurricane Ian is quickly approaching! Here are a few tips from DuWet to prepare for large amounts of rain.

-First, if your pool was equipped with a hose bib (spigot), located on your pool pump, you can hook a garden hose up to it to drain out some water. While the pool pump is on, twist the valve to the open position and the water will begin to drain out of the hose. We do NOT recommend draining your pool lower than your skimmer.

-Additionally, your deck is specifically designed with a slope to accommodate storm water. The installed deco drain will guide the storm water off the deck. You may want to double check that both ends of the drain are not obstructed prior to the storm. Water needs to be able to freely flow out of them.

-We recommend you remove any loose items from the pool area to avoid damage to your home or screen cage due to the wind.
