Our BCS students embarked on a transformative journey this past weekend at Camp Sparta. Three days filled with growth, and fellowship centered around the powerful theme of “Enough” from 2 Corinthians 12:9. Just as Paul found solace in God’s grace, our students were reminded that in every aspect of life, His grace is truly enough.
BCS 8th graders went on our 2nd annual school trip to Washington D.C. from April 8-11th. Enjoying the perfect spring weather, they walked over 30 miles in these 4 days, experiencing many new historical places and monuments. Hunter McBee and Avery Gibson presented a school wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier in Arlington Cemetary. Students watched the eclipse through protective glasses at the Marine Corps Iwo Jima Memorial. They viewed the Declaration of Independence in the National Archives, saw the White House, and toured the capital building and library of Congress. They visited George Washington’s Mt. Vernon, several Smithsonian Museums as well as the Army Museum, Spy Museum, and Bible Museum. Most evenings included beautiful walking tours of monuments, praying for our country, and sharing devotions as well as game time to build friendships and classmate bonding.
Huge congratulations to all the stellar students recognized in this year’s Golden Herald Awards! Special shout out to Joela Hammond for clinching the win in the Foreign Language category! Also, big applause for Micky Boonyasiriwat grabbing an Honorable Mention in Mathematics!
