This week’s Soaring Eagle Award goes to Ms. Martinez because she is always ready to jump in and help in any way she can. She does it all! Ms. Martinez supports our ELL students by working with them in the classrooms. She spearheads the organization of the cafeteria, translates during meetings, and runs the car-rider line without breaking a sweat! We are so blessed to have this multi-tasking master on our campus. She makes it look so easy. Congratulations!!
Today our students auditioned for dance club. Many left with smiles on their faces. We are so excited for this opportunity provided by Ovation. Students will learn routines to perform at various events throughout the year. 7th grade auditions are on the horizon. This is our year to Level Up in all areas.
This week’s Soaring Eagle Award goes to Ms. Shaw. She handles the front office with such grace. She is so thoughtful, sweet, and selfless. Ms. Shaw is always ready to jump in and help in anyway possible. She is the master of multitasking. We are so blessed to have such an amazing leader as part of our school community. Congratulations!!!

Kicking off the school year at Johnson K-8 with an AMAZING staff!!! Together, we will Level Up!
The first Soaring Eagle Award for the 24-25 school year goes to Ms. Bonilla. She worked tirelessly this summer to create new schedules for our students. She made phone calls over the summer and helped Mrs. Rivero tackle some new scheduling initiatives in 5th grade. Not only does Ms. Bonilla work hard, but she plays hard too. She kept the office staff laughing with her practical jokes over the summer during 10 hour work days. Her humor helped keep the work mood positive. We are so blessed to have her as part of our Johnson family. Congratulations Ms. Bonilla! You deserve this award.
This year, our theme is Level Up! Students will be setting personal goals and staff members will be engaging in Focus Friday data discussions to monitor progress toward meeting those goals. Students that achieve success will be celebrated at our quarterly pep rallies. Students showed their school spirit today to kick off the Level Up initiative. Here are some photos of our students enjoying their first full week of school.
Tomorrow is Focus Friday! Students may wear Level Up T-Shirts to show their school spirit! Go to Big Frog website or visit the store for Level Up shirts.
