Hello everyone,
April needs household donations to help a young single mom of 2 toddlers. This mom has been homeless for over a year and is literally living in with the clothes on her back. With the assistance of the help to home program this family will have a roof over their head and learn how to become financially self sufficient. Leading Ladies In Our Local Restaurants - EasyBlog Sarasota-Manatee Originals is celebrating the leading ladies in our local restaurants.

When you are supporting “workforce housing” or “affordable housing” ask the question-
What is the minimum income required to qualify?
What are the qualification requirements?
What are all the fees/cost to apply?
The real need in our community is “minimum wage/near minimum wage housing”.
People working full time should be able to afford to pay for a place to live for their families.
Fireman, teachers, Bookeeper’s, government employees, vet techs, restaurant workers, CNA’s, HVAC techs are just an example of jobs that people have in our community that do not qualify for many of these “workforce housing/affordable housing” units.
People working full time, should be able to qualify and afford to rent a place to call home for their children.
Greed….just because you can….doesn’t mean you should!

It’s very hard for someone to change their life for the better if they are worrying about where they will sleep tonight or if there will be food for dinner. They live in “survival mode.” That’s where Hope Village fits in, we give vulnerable residents a chance to stabilize their lives, and then change things for the better. Housing is the foundation for life change.

The overall cost of Hope Village, including land and buildings, is about $7.5 million. Help To Home Inc., the developer of Hope Village, has received a gift of $1.5 million to buy the land and build the street and underground utilities. The board is now looking for investors to help build homes and transform lives.

Hope Village will be funded 100% by private donors like yourself who see this as an opportunity to help vulnerable families flourish while building a better Manatee County. Interested in making a difference? Interested in volunteering?

Chef Gaetano's extensive cuisine knowledge comes from his time spent growing up in a Sicilian neighborhood in New Jersey. After moving to Florida, he was eager to fulfill the dream of sharing his unique cuisine with others. In 2007 he achieved this goal by converting a charming cottage in Bradenton’s Village of the Arts into Ortygia .
