Meet the Team!

Holly Troutman, one of the center’s wonderful volunteers, has been faithfully with us for almost 2 years. She joyfully serves, and brings warmth and a smile everywhere she goes.

She has a husband, Joe, and two kids - Grant and Giuliana. She enjoys serving her church, spending time with her family, and traveling. Fun fact - she and Joe love to ride their motorcycle!

Holly continues to find ways to help Bright Alternatives, and we appreciate her continued efforts. It’s not always easy just to donate time, but she does it week in and week out, and we are blessed!

Our office manager, Hannah, has always been passionate about serving others & the community. She has been married to Tod for 3 years and is a proud bonus mama to Kai & Silas, with a little one on the way. Her family loves spending time outdoors, kayaking, camping and traveling. She enjoys spending time with her family, nieces and nephews.

Hannah is our newest team member, she started with us in July and has dove right in. Hannah has many years of experience working with children, and is a huge advocate for mental health. This role is allowing her to grow in new ways and areas, while using her skill set to help serve those in the community.

Hannah shares, “l love being involved in the community, serving others, and helping people. I am excited to see where this role takes me.” 🫶🏼🦋

We’ve had many wonderful baskets and certificates come in so far for our Walk for Life, and are excited for the ones we’ve yet to receive!

Meet the Team!

Lindsay is one of our client advocates, but also does “behind the scenes” work with our boutique and inventory management. She is a wife, mom of 2, and pet owner of two dogs, a cat and some pretty cool lizards!

In Lindsay’s free time she likes to travel the country with her family, hike, read and hang out with her nieces and nephews. She may live in PA, but her heart is out West!

Lindsay has a lot of experience in trauma counseling, and serves her community well by stepping into a role to help many women and men. She has officially been an employee for one year, and we are excited to see what the future holds for her!

Meet the Team!

Our dear Christy, Client Advocate, is a proud Mom of 3 - Eric, Erin and Christa and a proud Grandma of 3 - Terra, Connor and Olivia. She cherishes her time spent with them. She lives with her 4 cats and enjoys rooting for the Buffalo Bills, reading, garage sales and day trips.

Helping others has always been a desire of her heart. Being a part of Bright Alternatives was a perfect place to do that. She considers it a privilege to serve the clients who come through the door. Christy started her journey with Bright Alternatives in October 2016. She believes that because of her experiences with the ministry, she has grown personally and spiritually and will always hold them dear to her heart.

What better team building activity than to throw axes together?! We had a blast at , laughing and getting to try something new. We are blessed with a big work family 🫶🏼

Meet the Team!

Our Executive Director, Kayla, has a passion for serving women, men and children in our community. She is a proud momma to her son Easton, and they enjoy going on adventures together - traveling, hiking, seeing beautiful sights and movie dates.

Kayla began with us in December of 2022, and has learned so many things about herself, the special individuals she works with, and her community. It has sparked further passion, as she is pursuing becoming a doula and providing intimate, hands-on support to many.

Kayla shares, “Bright Alternatives has changed my life for the better, and it is a blessing and honor to serve in this role.” 🦋☀️🫶🏼

We are excited to announce our collaboration with Eden Unbound, Doula and Lactation Services! Tiffany and Kayla will both be serving as doulas, and Tiffany as the ALPP-certified Lactation Counselor. We are here for you!

The total is in! $1,336.75 was raised from the yard & bake sale to benefit the center. We’d like to thank those who purchased from the sale, baked treats, and donated items. Many items came from Bev Hull’s estate, a long time supporter of Bright Alternatives and an advocate for life. What a legacy to be able to contribute to the cause, even beyond her time here with us. As always, we feel so blessed by our community!!

GOACC Welcomes New Member - Bright Alternatives!
Bright Alternatives is a Pregnancy Resource Center - providing education, counseling and resources. Executive Director, Kayla Hayden says we are staffed with caring and trained individuals who are here for you. Our programs exist to encourage, empower, and equip women and families to make strong choices for themselves and to make a better future for their families. Using our extensive library of evidence-based educational material and peer counseling we provide: Pregnancy Tests & Proof of Pregnancy Letters, Option & Peer Counseling, Community Referrals, Post Choice Support & Counseling, Pregnancy/Labor & Delivery Classes, Postpartum Care & Parenting Classes, Breastfeeding Support, Positive Partnership Support, Earn While You Learn, Beds for Babies Crib Program, Support for Dads and so much more.

Do you know anyone in need of a safe space for their baby to sleep? Our blessing boxes provide a safe sleeping area, and includes several items to help care for their child. Always free of charge!

We had to count them, might as well make a diaper pyramid as tall as Kayla, right?

We were blessed by a couple of organizations with a donation of over 70 packages of wipes, and 60 packs of diapers and pull-ups. So amazing!! 🦋🫶🏼

How incredible! We are extremely thankful for our community 🫶🏼🦋

FMS 7th graders recently promoted a Diapers and Wipes Drive as a service learning project to benefit Bright Alternatives, Inc. In total, Fretz staff and students collected and donated 65 packages of wipes and 29 packages of diapers!

We are excited to announce that Bright Alternatives is now in Olean, NY! We are located at 641 South Union Street. We happily accept walk-ins and are also scheduling appointments on Mondays.
