Hollyhock House
Breathing new life into old items and creating unique pieces for your home.
I found an old trunk at a yard sale this morning, threw on some 4” legs and whipped out the stencils (and a little elbow grease) and 💥 bam we now have the cutest vintage storage trunk! How cute would this be at the foot of a bed for blankets or toys? The storage possibilities are endless!
If you know me, you know I love stripes. Am I wearing a striped dress in the mirrored reflection? Yes. Did I put this display in front of a striped curtain? Yes. Did I just repurpose those plain Jane end tables and make a boat key paddle with the Hudson Bay company stripe pattern? Also yes. Did I intentionally put all these stripes together in one photo? Nope I sure didn’t, but here we are 😍
It’s been a while since I’ve shared some of my creations!
Here is a before-after-before-after of the same piece. Sometimes I try new things, and sometimes those things fail, and that’s ok! I’m happy I tried something new and pushed out of my comfort zone - even if it means settling right back there with my original vision for this piece. * In hindsight I wish I left the harp the natural wood to tie it in a little better but oh well-what’s done is done! 😁 dropping this beaut back off to the store bright and early tomorrow! ☀️
Was just about to paint the whole thing green, but decided to switch it up and make a fun, one of a kind piece instead!
I’ve recently started dabbling in making silly TikTok’s of my projects. I don’t typically share these to Facebook, so come follow along over there so you don’t miss out! 😁

This old desk just got a full makeover ❤️🩶
Before and after of this adorable secretary’s desk I completed tonight
This shelf started out shabby and ended up shabby chic 🩶
Repurposing some stools… one more set of two will be done soon! Just have to get inspired on what direction to paint them 🤔
How pretty is this desk paired with this wood chair. Love!
Today’s projects completed 😍
Another batch of tin can art completed!
Dabbling in a new project - repurposed clothing! Adding some funky patches to these cozy flannels, all unique and no two the same!
My newest piece! 😍
Let me tell you about this table I made today! I had a hutch I pulled some shelves out of and hairpin legs that were too tall for much else, I put them together and voila! We now have a super cool entryway table or even a desk! (The dimensions meet criteria for a wheelchair to fit under -height and width - however it’s only 14” deep so may not work for that) and let’s not forget about my super cool tin can art! Making some really fun spring pots with them. 🌸
Plain and simple table transformed into this gorgeous shabby chic-vintage side table.
Before and after of an old tray, a little paint, and some scrap paper. love 😍
Took an old lampshade and turned it into a cloche, painted bottles and added some floral arrangements, took a valentine themed stack of books and re-created it to a spring stack, turned an old teapot that was missing a lid into birdsnest, and created a great big mess in the process! (Oh the white tray was a broken lazy Susan that I added half wood beads to - and painted) so much fun! 🌺😍
What was once a can of sweet potatoes 🍠
😂
Took an old milk can and tuned it into a new side table. How charming would this be in your home, or on your front porch? 🪺🕊️🤎
One piece of tissue paper, 2 pieces of home decor recreated!
Some new pieces I just brought into the store!
This here is what you call an “after - after”
The picture on the left was the after shot of an old vanity turned into matching nightstands. The pair got broken up and the piece left behind was sad and lonely so it came home for a new makeover! Wood top, blue base to start - and black top, white base with new hardware to finish. She’s looking good!
Look how cute this little table turned out! I used some tissue paper as the base and cut a decorative napkin up to layer the image. 🕊️
Repurposed a globe today, because why not!
🤷🏻♀️🌎🌹
A before and after of a project I completed tonight. Doesn’t even look like the same piece!
A quick project completed last night. 🦚💙
