October 1st is the first day of fiscal year 2024 for the multipurpose pavilion and also the start of a 90 day count down for the Rankin County Board of Supervisors end of term. We would like to thank this board of supervisors for their support of the facility.
During this board’s 4 year term the facility held 344 days of events and activities such as youth rodeos, barrel races, livestock shows, archery, ATV safety classes, float building and other youth activities. The practice arena was open for general equine use for 594 days at no additional cost to Rankin County residents. This was at an operating cost of just over $1,146,000.00 for the four years. We are fortunate to have a board that supports agricultural in Rankin County and we are looking forward to our 25th year at the pavilion.
