Summer memories are being made. We are officially to the “driving me nuts” part of summer. Partly because we haven’t done a big vacation like we normally do to kick off summer. More time home and a lot more teenage opinions this year, too, I suppose 😝 but I am trying to hold on to these moments as these kids grow up so quickly 🥹 some days I still feel 16 so I don’t know how I am supposed to be helping raise my own 16 year olds; then again, some days I feel 76…

Thank you Taylor and Abi for always being up for whatever weird ideas I had and being so much fun to travel with! A share from the last week that was just what I needed to kick off a summer of fun! An absolutely stunning maternity session at Apollo Beach that I can’t wait to share more of soon! Goodness, I am missing the beach and hoping to spend a few more nights at the beach this summer documenting families 💛 and just hanging with my own family! Sunset is so late this time of year but you can do sunrise at the beach if you can’t hang until late, but the sunsets are definitely cooler at the beach than inland this time of year!!

T-30 minutes until 10th grade is done ✅ any guesses where we are headed to celebrate? Swipe all the way through to see how much these gentle giants have grown since 2016…the first and second images are almost the same elephant and same joy but much less room 😝🥹

After weeks of busy client work it has been good to share a few more personal portraits this week. Although I shared similar 16th birthday portraits I took digitally, when I got the black and white scans back, I had to share these too. They just hit different on film 🎞️ Even with one having his Australian-Floridian mullet and the teeny mustaches aside, I am so blown away by their beauty every time I see these sweet and funny boys 🎞️ as mirror image identical twins, sometimes look identical, and sometimes not, these they definitely look more individual and I love that!

Beautiful boys. I hope you always hug your mama with joy and love each other more than you fight. Could not be a prouder mama than you make me every single day 🖤🖤 we don’t need fancy clothes or an epic location, really just a few authentic moments to remember these days and years that seem to fly by! Thanks to the Mr for being the human tripod even if he did almost cut our heads off in each photo…and least there is content aware to fill it in 😜😝

This is a double exposure because I love spiderweb shadows in a pool and I knew I had to try it out as a double with this role of black-and-white film. Authentic family photos, I am here for it all day long! This extended family session filled my photographer soul. Still putting the finishing touches on the gallery but they did pre-purchase the digital negatives,which honestly makes it so much easier to me to share!
