Here's a rare shot of Dr. Rob in his favorite place! He only breaks out the Tyvec lab coat for special occasions. We're lucky to have such a dedicated Dr. on staff.
It's always a good time to insulate but it's the PERFECT time to insulate before your new siding goes up!
Everyone loves a fresh start! Out with the old and in with the new!
Tsunami of cellulose today! Much needed upgrade for this old girl!
What's worse than a mouse infestation? Mold AND a mouse infestation. We sucked out the old insulation and killed the mold. To stop it from happening again, we added a few roof vents to keep the attic ventilated.
Great weather for drill and fill and a perfect view of the islands. We're bringing the attic insulation to R60 and the walls packed to R13.
Another insulation removal project completed in ! We bundled removal and insulation with the addition to make sure the whole house is consistent and ready for the hot and cold for years to come!
Out with the old, in with the new! No more mice, no more mold and most importantly no more huge AC bills.
This home is going through a full insulation removal and being completely air sealed. We'll finish off with blown in cellulose in the attics and some much needed ventilation.
These Kneewalls were essentially broiling the 2nd floor of this cape. Not anymore! Between the 2" Tuff-R and blown cellulose, the 2nd floor will stay comfortable all year long.
There's just something about a well ventilated attic that makes me happy. A new gable fan and humidistat/thermostat combo followed by some good ol fashioned R49 cellulose!
Scorching day for a roof vent! Knocked this big guy out this morning with a humidistat/thermostat unit. No more hot attic and no more unwanted heat gain in the house!
Not a bad place to sweat your butt off. If you're working today, I hope it has a nice breeze!🩴
Cruising around doing some after hours duct cleaning for the peeps here at Classic Coil! Gotta keep the dust down to a minimum to avoid contaminating the merchandise!
Today was all about fresh starts. We sucked out 1100 square feet of moldy fiberglass batt and loads of creatures. Tomorrow we vent the bathroom fans through the roof and add a new gable fan with a humidistat/thermostat combo followed by a full remediation and new fiberglass insulation.
Solar roof Vents for the win! These things rock at keeping air flowing through hot attics and sucking out excess moisture. Improper ventilation leads to a proper disaster.
How to survive in the insulation game (not a health tip): Copious amounts of Red Bull, sweat and sometimes tears 😂
The weather man was wrong again (thankfully) allowing us to get in and get out ahead of schedule.
Who says you have to pick between insulation or storage space in your attic? Why not have both!
Have you ever found an old tree stump in a crawlspace? It's a first for us!
A little change of pace for us this Friday! Custom Gable vents (yes with screens) on both sides of this soon to be insulated attic space and a bath fan that now vents outside.
Laying down the first pass of closed cell foam is the most satisfying! We're going 4" in the cathedral ceilings with R19 batt and 2" for the walls with R15 batt.
Another removal in progress. Getting rid of all that mouse infested insulation.

It's so important to keep your attic ventilated to avoid a moldy situation. This attic had a couple of bath fans venting right into the attic and a faulty thermostat on the gable fan.
After removing everything, venting both bathroom fans through the roof, installing a humidistat/thermostat combo unit, air sealing and some serious mold remediation, it's ready for R60 blown in cellulose.

The works for this attic. Soffit baffles, a bath fan vent and a Jbox for the shotty fan connection. We followed it up with R49 Timberfill to finish it off.
Floored and insulated! This is one hell of a good storage space now. Climate controlled for the most sensitive Christmas decorations. Open Cell Spray Foam FTW😊
