This book is a fabulous supplement to his recorded leads. I picked up the book AFTER I listened to 15 hours of his recorded talks on Spotify on a long drive to Florida. As I read, I could hear his voice in my head as if I were there in person. I'm now reading it a SECOND time with my trusty highlighter in hand! I am just 8 months into my journey but I highly recommend getting this book. I wish there were more recordings that were published.

My Initial Reaction to This Week’s Message:
“I believe this will help me. I need to do this. I am under a lot of pressure. I commit to starting each day with 10 minutes of prayer and meditation, asking God to take my burdens. I will try to stay focused on letting go all throughout the day. Try to cheer up others at work. End day with another 10 minutes of prayer.”

Daily Observations of Activity and Ideas
Monday – “7:30 A.M., sat quietly, prayed, and read weekly message 3 times. Imagined my day in a letting go mood. Day went well. Quiet time again at night.”
Tuesday – “7:30 A.M., read message and meditated on its purpose for me. Calm all morning. Lost it briefly after lunch. Five-minute quiet time in office and felt better. Quiet time at night.”
Wednesday – “Late for work, no time for quiet time. Morning was a hassle. Remembered to take book to work and read message over the lunch hour. Went to Fred’s office and tried to cheer him up over his wife’s illness. Quiet time at night.”
Thursday – “Reading and quiet time morning and night. I must continue this. I am sure it is working.”
Friday – “Late again, forgot book. Too many meetings. Bad day.”
Saturday – “Sat quietly in backyard for 30 minutes. Read message and thought about its meaning for me. Good day. Prayed about letting go at night.”
Sunday – “Quiet time morning and night. Boy, it’s hard to overcome selfishness. I resolve to keep trying.”

Summary of This Week
“I know I made some progress. It seems as if part of me does not want this to succeed. I should buy a book on meditation. I pray that I will continue. I look forward to the next message.”
