The chin plays a critical role in facial balancing. It defines the lower face while balancing the nose, lips, and cheeks. A proportioned chin creates a beautiful profile, conveys confidence, and elongates the face, often providing a slimer appearance.

Using a small amount of Restylane Defyne, we were able to elongate the chin to correct chin recession and improve mental shadowing. The photo on the right was taken immediately post injection. Minimal swelling and redness are present.

As a result of the correction, this patients’ gorgeous lips appear even more stunning, and she is happy with her natural results!

Lip Filler ➡️ Lip flip

What’s the difference?
💋LIP FILLER (as seen in the first photo) is dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid and is injected into the lip body. This creates volume to the lips, creating a fuller lip body.

At LŪM, the priority is adding volume to the lip body while maintaining a NATURAL appearing result. Lip filler is immediately visible. Swelling and bruising may be present post injection and may last up to a week. Depending on the amount of filler used and patient factors, lip filler can last up to a year.

💋LIP FLIPS (as seen in the 2nd photo) is done by using neurotoxin (Dysport, Botox, Daxxify, Xeomin or Jeaveau) to temporarily prevent the orbicularis oris muscle from pulling or tucking the upper lip upward/inward. This allows the lip to appear more visible at rest and when smiling, creating the appearance of a fuller lip.

However, this does not add actual volume to the lip, it just changes how the muscle moves and relaxes. Lip flips are a great option for those who tuck their lip under when smiling or for anyone wanting a subtle change to their lips.

Results are present a few days after injection and tend to last around 6-8 weeks. There is no downtime associated with a lip flip.
