ANGEL OF MARCH IS GRACE

Poise and elegance in form, attitude, and action. Give up struggle and allow the universe to participate in the creation of your life.

Grace is a healing balm that soothes our nervous system and relaxes our stance in the world. It gives margins to our souls allowing them to be held in the deep state of a soft heart.

In a world of static and adversity that robs feelings of happiness, Grace is the aura of goodness. Allow it to saturate your activities and restore your state of calmness.

Sound a Grace note this month. Your words can bring the remedy of grace, whether it is your own self talk or when speaking with another. Words are an instrument to heal or wound, to connect or separate. Let your words encourage, ease, and soothe the nervous system of humanity with the healing balm of grace.

The idea of Grace points directly to the mystery of our being. It can not be defined, strategized, or controlled. But, we can place ourselves in the direct line of grace by holding sacred space and cultivating sacred conditions.

The gradual process of interior transformation and awakening changes the way we experience reality and brings a new quality of information. A restructuring of consciousness takes place that empowers us to perceive, relate, and respond with increasing sensitivity to the divine presence in, through, and beyond everything that exists.

Grace is awakening to the natural order of the universe. Maybe your soul's journey is simply learning to live as an emanation of presence and be a vessel through which Grace flows.

We hope the Angels continue to inspire your life.
May your heart be happy and your presence filled with Grace.

Soul Light

The sunlight breaks into those dark wintery places
The shaft of light shattering the ebony screen
That has so long been before me
It enters my being and fills me
And my soul responds
It is time to reappear
It is time to come out
And be
And play
And work
To express all those things that were held in
With the light comes the sweet scent of spring
Not yet here, but filling my senses with the knowing
That, after my long dark winter,
It will be here
The air filling my lungs with a freshness
That only comes with this time of awakening
It hints that this coldness that captured me inside
Will be transformed into warmth
That will begin to kindle my fires
Of expression and creativity
As I peel off the layers needed to live in the season of cold and dark
I am beginning to burst with anticipation
Of the freedom that this illumination brings
So that I can step out
Be me and be free.

Solo Journey

It’s a solo journey that we’re on
First we’re here, then we’re gone
And all the stuff that’s in between
Is a wispy shadow barely seen.

We come, we go, we take, and give
And wonder what it means to live
We search our hearts to find our souls
Eager to fill the vacant holes

We lust for people, money, and things
We value those with opulent rings
We think that all we hold can tell
If we have lived our lives so well

But truth escapes us as we go
When we fail to see the ebb and flow
When we think we can partake
Without sharing, our big mistake

For what we have and what we give
Is recorded as we live
Somewhere in time, space, or air
Our deeds continue to live there

Thus as we take this solo flight
Let us seek to soar to a great height
Not for fame or fortune to be known
But for the kindness we have shown.

When I read the ancient words below for the first time, they sent a course of energy through me from head to toe. I'm honored to be able to share them with you.

This prayer was written by Shantideva, a Buddhist monk of the Mahayana tradition who lived around 700 AD. He was a devoted practitioner who authored the Bodhicaryavatara or Bodhisattva Way of Life.

It is said that His Holiness the Dalai Lama considers this text to be THE source for developing altruism in your character and the "Spirit of Awakening." It is also said that His Holiness the Dalai Lama recites this prayer every morning as part of his waking rituals. So, if you give it a try, you are in good company!

Bodhisattva Prayer for Humanity

"May I be a guard for those who need protection

A guide for those on the path

A boat, a raft, a bridge for those who wish to cross the flood

May I be a lamp in the darkness

A resting place for the weary

A healing medicine for all who are sick

A vase of plenty, a tree of miracles

And for the boundless multitudes of living beings

May I bring sustenance and awakening

Enduring like the earth and sky

Until all beings are freed from sorrow

And all are awakened."

Now, exhale and be still for a brief moment.

What speaks loudly in this prayer is that we are all in this together. We are alive thanks to our ancestors and by helping the people, plants, animals, and life in our environment, we show appreciation for existing in this world.
