4-H members in middle school and high school (6th β 12th grade) are invited to spend a day at the Vermont State Capitol during April vacation. Weβll tour the capitol and the Vermont Supreme Court. We will learn about the legislative process, meet officials, and share our 4-H stories.
After the group program concludes in the afternoon, consider planning to meet with your legislators or visiting the Vermont Historical Society Museum next door!

It's been a busy month for our 4-Hers! Club members from Windham and Windsor county have participated in Regional Horse Quiz Bowl and Hippology, Regional Dairy Quiz Bowl, and State Working Steer Quiz Bowl!
Thanks to all the club leaders and volunteers, and other 4-H Educators for supporting our youth, and to the 4-H members for taking the challenge and participating!

Earlier this month, Windsor & Windham 4-H Educator, Amber got to meet another club! Green Mountain 4-H club is a Shooting Sports club in Windsor County. Led by Paul Muzzey, these youth get to learn about many different disciplines in shooting sports throughout the year. Amber was impressed with their focus, attention to detail, respect for the range, their equipment, and each other!

The Rutland County 4-H Hippology & Horse Quiz Bowl Competitions will take place Saturday, February 24th at Rutland Town School in Rutland, VT.
All enrolled 4-H youth are invited to join us for a fun, experiential learning opportunity to test their knowledge of horses, horsemanship, equine science, stable management, and more!

FREE teen science cafe for youth gr. 7-12
Join us on Saturday, February 10 at UVM for our next teen science cafe. Cafes are planned by teens for teens. You will meet a scientist, learn about their work, and engage in hands-on activities and informal discussions. Plus, we serve free pizza! This month's topic is "AgroTek Innovation." Shop 4-H - Every purchase supports local 4-H kids. The official 4-H store for pins, record book covers, club supplies, educational curriculum, and apparel for youth and adults. Proceeds support the 4-H mission.
For those interested in hippology and horse quiz bowl!
It's back! The 2024 Hippology Academy kicks off on February 17. Topics for this year include toxic plants of the northeast, horse evaluation, feeding myths, soil testing and usage, identifying feeds, and fencing. Content for each topic includes practice tests, slides, and digital learning stations in addition to twice weekly lectures.
There are three enrollment levels to choose from:
1. Bronze: All content listed above, accessible until August 31, 2024.
2. Sliver: Everything included in Bronze, plus can ask teacher questions, participate in discussion board, and have access to course material until November 31, 2024.
3. Gold: Everything included in Silver, plus opportunity to participate in live virtual office hours with instructor (Thursday evenings) and access to course material until December 31, 2024.
