We are proud to be your local solid waste district!
Do you know your Solid Waste Management Entity?
We refer to them affectionately as "SWMEs" (swim-ee), but you might know of them as your Solid Waste District, Alliance, or Independent Town.
Go to www.802recycles.com and type your town in the search bar to find your SWME web page.
There, you can find an A-Z guide of what to do with things from recycling and used clothing to electronics and household hazardous waste.
You'll also find resources on low-waste events, and might learn about opportunities for workshops, facility tours, or repair cafes.
SWMEs work hard to help you waste less and properly manage your trash, recycling, food scraps, and other materials.
You can always reach out to us in the Solid Waste Program, but your SWME is your local waste expert.
Thanks, SWMEs!
