🌟 Another Eventful Day with AAM! 🌟

Yesterday, Amy and I had our hands full, tackling three different projects for our amazing clients.

We kicked off the day by insulating the attic for a client who recently had their roof replaced after a tree fell on it during the storm. From there, we built a brand-new fence panel to replace one that was taken down by the hurricane. And to top it all off, we ended our day by constructing a special walk bridge for a client.

This particular project was especially meaningful. Our client built the original bridge for his wife back in the 80s. After years of love and use, weather wear finally took its toll, and the bridge had to be retired. It was an honor to rebuild a new one in its place, preserving the cherished memories while creating something new.

If you live along the Texas coast, your property needs to meet specific building standards to qualify for a windstorm insurance policy through the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association. Here are a few tips to consider for new construction, repairs, or renovations:

•Ensure your property meets the required building standards.
•Consult your insurance carrier, the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI).
•Make sure your contractor understands and follows Windstorm requirements before hiring them for your project.

Have you checked your weatherhead? The customer is responsible for repairs if there is damage to customer-owned equipment like the meter box or weatherhead -- the point where the line enters the home through a pipe. Be sure to check your equipment, as it will need to be repaired by an electrician before service can be restored.
