Goggins, our guide dog in training, is very important to the office. Always eager to show off his chew bones, he brings a sense of joy to the office :)

What teeth reveal about the lives of modern humans
Thank goodness for modern dentistry.
Human diets are drastically different from our ancestors which consisted of hunting and gathering and not processed foods. Modern diets consist of soft, processed and sugary foods.
Anthropologists have concluded 99 % of our evolutionary history was spent eating foods that are hunted and gathered which means that’s what our teeth are adapted for eating. We have not been eating our current soft and overly proceed diets long enough for any adaptations to have occurred which leads to magnified cavities and plaque build-up among other oral issues.
An overhaul of what we eat might be in order.

Different dental customs from other countries:
In Japan they don't put their baby teeth under their pillow for the tooth fairy. Depending if it's a top or bottom tooth they throw it on the ground or up in the air so the adult tooth grows in straight.
A trend in South Africa, Cape Town known as the Cape Flats Smile has teenagers getting their front teeth removed to boost attractiveness.
In Argentina they have a different variation of our tooth fairy. Kids leave their tooth in a glass of water and a little mouse comes in the middle of the night drinks the water, takes the tooth and leaves coins or candy in the empty glass.
